It’s worth wondering if Ironheart’s MCU debut happening in Black Panther.
It’s been known for a while that Ironheart in Black Panther 2. Since she has a reputation as a superhero, there’s a strong possibility that she’ll be suiting up alongside Wakanda’s forces when they face off against the Avenging Son on the big screen.
Some may be curious about what Ironheart can bring to the table in the movie. If she gets her armor before Black Panther 2, she may be the heroes’ best and most reliable asset when they fight Namor. That’s because even if Nakia (Lupita Nyong'o), Okoye (Danai Gurira), Shuri (Letitia Wright), and M’Baku (Winston Duke) all teamed up, they still wouldn’t have the firepower needed to stand up to Namor physically (assuming he’s portrayed accurately). They might possess Vibranium weapons strong enough to pierce his skin, but it’s important to keep in mind that Namor is one of Marvel’s most powerful heroes in the comic books, especially when wet or submerged in water. Shuri’s tech alone won’t be sufficient against a villain of Namor's caliber.
An Iron Man-esque hero, on the other hand, is a different story. As a young hero, she’ll have a long way to go before she can be on Tony Stark’s level, but she may get a suit equal or better than his in of its durability if a Vibranium Iron Man suit is at play. Riri Williams having access to Wakanda’s resources when building her Ironheart suit could make her a formidable ally in combat, but she’s unlikely to be someone who can take down Namor single-handedly. After all, the Sub-Mariner is a character capable of fighting the Hulk to a standstill and engaging in epic throwdowns with Hercules, Thor, and entire teams of heroes. He's also significantly stronger than Iron Man. As impressive as Ironheart is for being able to develop a suit like hers, it’s hard to imagine her being on par with such a powerful villain.
Unless she somehow creates a suit that greatly outclasses Iron Man’s, Ironheart should be on a power level near Spider-Man or Black Panther, but below powerhouses such as Captain Marvel, Thor, or the original Hulk. With her strength, she might have what it takes to challenge Namor's power – but not beat it. That makes sense, considering that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever doesn’t appear to have a singular protagonist. So rather than one character rising to the occasion, it may take teamwork and strategy from all of the movie’s heroes to stop the Savage Sub-Mariner.
