Chadwick Boseman's Justice League ever released on the big screen.

The way things are moving, 2018 just might top 2017's super year. There are nine major superhero-related films releasing next year, of which only one of them, James Wan's Avengers: Infinity War. The team-up movie marks the beginning of the end of MCU's first saga, and MCU and Marvel Comics fans can hardly contain their excitement. And in addition to bringing the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy together, the film contains 2018's most anticipated character.

Fandango conducts an annual poll ahead of each new year determining the following year's most anticipated movies and characters. For 2018, the most anticipated superhero in a standalone comic book movie is Boseman's Black Panther, followed by Jason Momoa's Aquaman, Tom Hardy's Venom, Sophie Turner's Jean Grey/Phoenix, and Evangeline Lilly's The Wasp.

Boseman made his debut as T'Challa, aka Black Panther, in the Russos' 2016 film, Captain America: Civil War, and he will be reprising his role as the eponymous superhero in Ryan Coogler's Black Panther solo film in February 2018, before later appearing for the third time as Wakanda's sworn protector in the Russos' Avengers: Infinity War in May 2018.

Sophie Turner and Evangeline Lilly both appeared in previous films as their respective characters - Jean Grey and Hope van Dyne, aka the Wasp - and they will be reprising their roles in 2018. Lilly is starring in Peyton Reed's X-Men: Dark Phoenix in November 2018.
