Warning! Spoilers ahead for Iron Fist: Heart of the Dragon #3

In the latest issue of Marvel Comics' new Wakanda's General Okoye.

In previous issues of Iron Fist: Heart of the Dragon from writer Larry Hama with art by Dave Wachter, Danny Rand has been charged with gathering a coalition of allies from Earth and the Heavenly Cities. Standing united, the hope is that their combined strength can repel the Hidden City, which seeks to kill all of the dragons, thereby destroying the cosmic balance and chi of both realms in the Marvel Universe, leading to untold doom and destruction. While the Iron Fist's new team already features trusted allies such as Luke Cage, Fooh, Pei, Gork, and more warriors at his side, the new team of heroes is still growing.

Now, Iron Fist: Heart of the Dragon #3 sees Wakanda's border patrol defending their great nation from the Hidden City's army of undead ninjas, all while a mighty dragon flies overhead. Additionally, Wakanda's General Okoye is leading the charge as one of the Dora Milaje, refusing to let a single zombie break through their line of defense. Naturally, Okoye is incredibly formidable alongside the Hatut Zeraze, otherwise known as the Black Panther's Dogs of War.

Eventually, Okoye is met by Iron Fist's ally Bride of Nine Spiders, and she explains that while the undead should indeed be slain, the dragon must be protected. However, the dragon was killed shortly after this exchange by a lethal agent of the Hidden City, and the dragon's heart was collected as well. Even so, it looks as though Okoye will be ing Iron Fist's team, as she's recruited by Prince of Orphans to the greater war for the dragons and battle to maintain the Marvel Universe's cosmic balance.

While other heroes of Earth such as Radiance and Sunspot were fighting the undead hordes as well in other parts of the globe, it seems as though Okoye is being set up for a greater role in the battle to come. In any case, she couldn't come sooner, as a massive and darker dragon has risen from the Hidden City, and things are not looking good for Iron Fist's new team as a result. Thankfully, it looks as though the Black Panther's most trusted and greatest warrior will soon be arriving to offer her spear as the miniseries continues from Marvel Comics.
