Warning! This post contains SPOILERS for Black Panther #13In the latest issue of Marvel Comics' Black Panther was recently kicked out of the Avengers due to a total breakdown of trust. However, that hasn't stopped T'Challa from trying to set things right, even if that puts him directly at odds with Steve Rogers himself.

In the new Black Panther #13 from John Ridley and Germán Peralta, Black Panther has assembled what few allies he has left to stop his former friend Jhai, one of his sleeper assassins he'd installed over the globe as a dark contingency to protect Wakanda. Creating his own non-violent terrorist organization, Jhai has been holding key data centers hostage and has threatened to shut down the internet if the world doesn't live in peace. While this was the first step in Jhai's plan to give Black Panther the world, T'Challa never asked for nor did he ever want a global throne. As such, T'Challa has taken it upon himself to stop Jhai at all costs. However, the Avengers are unable to trust T'Challa despite his good intentions, leading to a brawl between Captain America and the Black Panther. Despite his recently sustained injuries T'Challa refuses to stay down, proving that the's just as determined to keep fighting as Captain America himself.

Captain America vs T'Challa in Black Panther #13

Just like Captain America who refuses to quit and "can do this all day", this issue proves that Black Panther is exactly the same. Neither of them is ever willing to give up so long as they can get back up to keep fighting. Had T'Challa not been injured, it's hard to say how long the two heroes would have fought or who the ultimate victor would have been. However, the fight was Cap's to lose seeing as how the Black Panther wasn't anywhere near his full strength.

That being said, it doesn't look as though Captain America will be bringing T'Challa in seeing as how the issue ends with Namor and his forces from Atlantis offering their full to the Black Panther. While it's currently unclear as to why, it does mean that T'Challa now has the help he needs to take down Jhai, regardless of whether he's an Avenger or not. Just like Steve Rogers, T'Challa isn't going to stop fighting for what he thinks is right no matter how many people tell him he's wrong or stand in his way.

While one would hope that the Black Panther can earn the Avengers' trust back in the future, it does seem as though T'Challa will be on the outs with Earth's Mightiest Heroes for quite some time. Even if he does take down Jhai, the Black Panther still had a secret assassin program and collected data on the Avengers to create countermeasures against them (one of the most Batman things Black Panther has ever done). Likewise, it's going to be some time before Black Panther can make things right with Captain America in particular despite their similarities. Black Panther #13 is on sale now from Marvel Comics.
