Warning! Spoilers ahead for Black Widow #1.
In the first issue of an all new Captain America without breaking a sweat, but manages to pull off a move reserved only for Batman. Although, Natasha may pull off the classic move slightly better than the Dark Knight himself...
In this first issue of Black Widow, Natasha enters a building full of armed operatives alone, though she has Hawkeye as backup to provide covering fire and a way out. Thanks to a well-placed arrow, the lights are cut and Natasha manages to make quick work of her opponents in succession, having little problems making her way to the other side of the room. Once all of the thugs have been incapacitated and Hawkeye blows open the next door for her with an explosive arrow, Natasha breaks open a safe and claims her prize: a valuable hard drive desired by Captain America.
Of course, Natasha's expert combat and fighting skills are a thing to behold, taking down thugs across a single page, but she certainly saves the best move for last while talking to Cap on the next roof over. In a single moment, Cap looks down to inspect the drive while asking Natasha if she needs a ride home... which is also when Natasha shows why she's one of the closest superheroes Marvel has to Batman.
Batman is the most famous for using the move, pulling it on Commissioner Gordon every chance he gets. However, it's hard to deny that Natasha might be better at it. After all, you'd have to be seriously good at blending back into the shadows to sneak away from The Captain America. There's not much that can catch him off guard. Regardless, Natasha might have disappeared too well this time. At the end of this first issue, she returns home to find her apartment broken into. When she tries to enter from her window, she is shot with tranquilizer darts and sent falling to her death. However, three months and she seems to have become a new person, working as an architect and living with an unknown man in San Francisco.
Hawkeye and Bucky, the Winter Soldier, another close ally of Natasha's will be investigating Black Widow's new normal in the coming issues. In any case, hopefully fans will get to see Black Widow back in action as this new series continues, as she's just way too cool to not be stopping bad guys and looking awesome while doing it.
