Heists are, however, the one crime he has perfected, managing to steal the most valuable items in the world without being caught. He is also a fun character to follow, as he always ensures that justice is served in the end with the help of his FBI task force.

The Monarch Douglass Bank Heist

Berlin was one of those enemies Reddington didn't expect, which is why it was really hard for Red to beat him. Reddington, however, figured out the bank that keeps Berlin's money and the woman with the photographic memory the bank used as a ledger to prevent leaving a paper trail.

Normally, robbers break into banks for the money, but Red's heist started with a kidnapping. After taking the bank's human ledger, Kaja Tomczak, Red employs the help of the FBI to fight off the corrupt Warsaw police, save Kaja, and finally take all money from Berlin's offshore s, making him vulnerable enough to negotiate.

Robbing Rivera

Reddington was bankrupt and needed money, and of course, a private jet to move around, so he decided to rob one of his own clients. Rivera was a revolutionary who needed guns from Red. Red had no money and definitely no guns, but he had to appear to have both of them.

He borrows money from Glen to buy guns and shows up with them at the agreed airfield. He then uses Tom Keen and his associates to stage a fake police raid that scares Rivera and his men off, leaving his money and jet behind, without taking the guns from Red.

The Rare Bronze Lincoln Penny

The Lincoln Penny was one of the valuable items Red had to steal more than once. After he stole the first one from Greyson Blaise, it was stolen from him by Abraham Stern. When he finally learned that it was in a Elizabeth Keen and the task force.

Keen handed over a packet sniffing tool to the police as evidence, which Dembe used to figure out the code to the evidence vault. They then used Glen as a distraction to fake a heart attack, which distracts the officer at the entrance, allowing Liz to sneak in and steal the penny -- and boom -- Red has his 3 million dollar penny back.

The US Mint In Dever

After getting the only bronze penny that Stern didn't have, Red is forced to work with Stern because he has the other three coins needed to form the complete map to the treasure. When they figure out that the money is hidden in the boiler room of the U.S. mint in Denver, Reddington figures out a way of breaking in. But Abraham Stern turns on him.

Turns out, Red didn't trust Stern either and has employed his own team to steal the money from the boiler room. His method is even smarter, as he only connects a pipe to the room's ventilation system and sucks all the money out, leaving Stern with nothing. He then makes it worse by calling the police on Stern.

Robbing Robert Diaz

Alexander Kirk, played by Ulrich Thomsen, was Liz's father in law and happened to be a billionaire with huge investments in oil companies. He abducted Keen and her daughter, trying to force them to become a family and to use their stem cells to cure his terminal illness.

Reddington was also getting overwhelmed by Kirk's blows and decided to quash his influence in the U.S. by robbing his preferred presidential candidate. He figured out the person Kirk used to fund Senator Robert Diaz's campaign. After emptying Diaz's campaign money , he forced him to name Alexander Kirk as a terrorist before he could get his campaign money back.

Stealing The Real Reddington's Money

Raymond Reddington-Stealing The Real Reddington's Money

The hardest thing Reddington did was to change from Ilya Koslov to Raymond Reddington. Illya Koslov first had to employ a plastic surgeon to change his appearance to match that of Reddington. With the help of Katarina Rastova, the new Red learns to talk and act as the real Raymond Reddington.

The fun part was how he changed his looks and prints to match those of the dead man. The new Red, now looking like the real Raymond Reddington, confidently walks into banks that the original Reddington used to keep his assets, robbing all of them to get the money he used to create his criminal empire.

Saving The Botched Heist

Whenever you see Raymond Reddington in a bank, chances are, he is about to rob it. When he walks into a bank in the first episode of season 6, trying to figure out how to steal a safety deposit box, he finds a robbery already in progress. He hilariously stands up in the middle of the hostage situation to insult the robbers for their stupidity and how they messed up his heist.

Red then offers to help the amateur robbers escape with their loot for 50 percent of their take, while still using the bank manager to get to the safety deposit box he came for, which contains an expensive painting. The ending was, however, sweet because he released the bed of the getaway truck, leaving the robbers on the road to be caught.

The Heist At Greyson Blaise's House

Raymond Reddington has no problem robbing fellow criminals, especially startup art thieves seeking political fame. The trick he employed in robbing Greyson Blaise was, however, one of the best ever. After being bankrupted from his war with Mr. Kaplan, Reddington decided to employ the help of the task force to revive his empire.

He employed the help of Elizabeth Keen to secure a beach house, then lured Blaise into it just to sell him a fake painting and set him up to the Italian police. He then goes to Blaise's house and orders his frightened workers into packing lots of valuable items, including a Picasso and a Lincoln coin into his car.

The Director's Money

The Director, portrayed by David Strathairn, was the handyman of the Cabal, using CIA resources to dismantle Red's empire. But as it turned out, he didn't trust his employers. Reddington figured out that he was hiding his stolen money, which he intended to disappear. First, Reddington had to steal thumbs from a cryogenically preserved body and use them to open the safety deposit box containing the money.

After tricking Sir Crispin Crandall to land his ever-airborne jet for fuel, Reddington beats the Cabal to getting the thumbs of the assistant, who is the holder of The Director's money. After expertly taking ownership of the building next to the bank, Red sneaks into the vault and breaks into the safety deposit vault, stealing the Director's Plan B.

The Hard Drive Containing Currency Blueprints

Reddington was not just interested in stealing the money -- he found a way to print it himself, without getting his hands dirty. He helps the task force track down General Ludd, the leader of an anti-capitalist terrorist group. While General Ludd does the hard work of robbing an armored vehicle with cash and the hard drive containing blueprints for the US currency, Reddington figures out how to rob him.

General Ludd's terrorism proves to be his downfall since all planes are grounded after his bombing spree. Reddington makes his jet available for Ludd and lures him to an airstrip just to get his hands on the hard drive. Instead of helping Ludd escape with the hard drive, he takes it from him and hands him over to the FBI.
