Who Is Mia Goth Playing In The MCU's Blade Reboot?Mia Goth as Pearl

While there's no concrete details on who Mia Goth is playing in the MCU Blade reboot, there are options from Marvel's Blade comics. The obvious stand-out is Lilith Drake, the daughter of Dracula, which would allow Blade to introduce a powerful female villain and avoid having to reuse Dracula himself after he was played by Dominic Purcell in Blade: Trinity. Like Blade, Lilith is immune to daylight, making her a compelling dark mirror to Mahershala Ali's anti-hero, as well as a formidable opponent. Alternatively, Mia Goth's Blade character could be a gender-swapped established comics character or an original creation.

Following Ali's casting in 2019, a number of actors have ed Blade. Delroy Lindo was cast in November 2021 for a mystery role. According to the reports at the time, there was speculation that he was playing Jamal Afari. In the comics, Jamal took care of Blade and served as a mentor.

Whether Lindo is playing Jamal or not in Blade remains to be seen. Krypton star Aaron Pierre was tapped in February 2022 for a secret role as well. There have been unconfirmed reports that Milan Ray also has been tapped for a key role, but Disney and Marvel Studios have yet to confirm them. If filming is happening this spring, as previous Blade reports have stated, more actors are bound to be announced soon.

What is particularly interesting about this movie's development is that every Blade actor outside of Ali has thus far had their characters kept under wraps. With most MCU films, there are usually at least some characters revealed from the get-go when casting comes out. This is a project that remains incredibly secretive. Hopefully, it won't be long until Marvel Studios reveals more about the Blade reboot.
