The third Indiana Jones.

Although there are still many details that we don't know about Villeneuve's film, we do know that Ryan Gosling stars as Officer K and, for some reason, he's searching for Deckard, so that he can ask him some questions. Perhaps this will tie into the long-running theory that Deckard is, in fact, a replicant, which is also something that Scott recently said will be revealed in the sequel - despite Villeneuve having previously indicated that that topic isn't addressed in his film.

In order to get those answers, people will have to wait until the Blade Runner sequel hits theaters in October. However, until then, audiences can analyze all the teasers and trailers for any new information, including this newest tease. Warner Bros. has released the third trailer for Denis Villeneuve's Blade Runner 2049 online now (see the video above), ahead of Christopher Nolan's San Diego Comic-Con this weekend.

The first full-length Blade Runner 2049 trailer debuted just over two months ago, which means at this rate, there's a chance that audiences could still see another full-length trailer sometime in September - though WB may want to hold off on spoiling the story, by releasing another promo of this length.

Needless to say, anticipation is running high for Villeneuve's film. It's not only a sequel to one of the most beloved sci-fi properties in cinema history but also because the director has now established himself as one of the most visionary filmmakers in the industry today, having caught audiences' attentions with his previous films such as Blade Runner 2049 will be even better than Scott's original touchstone work.

Regardless, Scott must believe in the movie enough to even warrant producing the sequel after all these years, and he might even use it as a launchpad for future stories. While there's no telling where the story could go at this point, Scott has already revealed his interest in Alien franchise - beyond not only the core characters, but also the Los Angeles setting. If Blade Runner 2049 turns out to be a success, both critically and commercially, then there's at least a chance for another installment down the line.
