Fox's Bob's Burgers is a highly successful animated series that revolves around a quirky lower-middle-class family and their struggling burger restaurant. It first aired in 2011 and is now nearing its 200th episode.
Like most animated shows, one actor can provide the voices for countless characters. Megan Mullally stars as Gayle and has voiced four other minor characters, while acclaimed director Jordan Peele has been featured as eight different characters. Let's take a look at a list of 10 other celebrities that have lent their voices to the show over the years.
Jon Hamm (Talking Toilet)
Jon Hamm is famous for his suave portrayal of Don Draper in Mad Men, but in Bob's Burgers he shows off his acting chops by taking on a completely different role. In a season 3 episode titled "O.T. The Outside Toilet," Gene stumbles upon an expensive talking toilet (Jon Hamm) out in the woods.
Gene quickly grows attached. "A bidet? Don't mind if I bi-do." But when a man with the suspiciously punny name "Max Flush" comes into town searching for the missing toilet, Gene is sure that he's up to no good.
Fred Armisen (Tommy Jaronda)
"Daddy! You abandoned me! Daddy! You sold drugs to me! Punches are not hugs to me!" When Hugo the health inspector decides to quit his job to become a full-time nudist in the episode "Nude Beach," he is replaced by a health inspector/singer named Tommy Jaronda.
Voiced by the SNL alum Fred Armisen, Tommy pals his way into Bob's heart with his easygoing ways and his raving health inspection reports. Hoping to drum up more customers, Bob offers to let Tommy perform his music at the restaurant, but he gets more than he bargained for when Tommy plays hits like "Daddy" and "The Itsy Bitsy Stripper."
John Oliver (Ian Amberson)
TV personality John Oliver guest stars in the season 7 episode "There's No Business Like Mr. Business Business." He plays Ian Amberson, a snobby pet agent for Pets Pawsitive Pet Agency. Ian considers himself a legitimate agent and boasts that he once met Dean Cain through one of his pet clients.
Ian "discovers" Gayle's cat, Mr. Business, and books him for a prestigious cat food commercial. However, when Mr. Business attacks Ian, he refuses to represent him again. Eager for Gayle to find a way to make money and stop borrowing theirs, Bob begrudgingly takes over Mr. Business's training for the "Chef Cat" audition.
Amy Sedaris (Samantha)
Before she The Mandalorian, Amy Sedaris had a role in Bob's Burgers. She plays Samantha, a lady mortician, who meets Mort through a dating profile set up by the Belcher kids after they decide that they need to help him get out more.
Mort and Samantha go on a double date with Bob and Linda to Jimmy Pesto's and they quickly hit it off. Samantha is just as strange as Mort, and they bond over things like embalming and the strangest things that they've found in dead bodies. Bob is less impressed and even makes up a drinking game for every time they say something weird.
Adam Driver (Art the Artist)
Adam Driver is an Academy Award-nominated actor known for his work in a wide array of movies from Star Wars to Marriage Story. He's worked with some of the best directors in Hollywood and his career shows no signs of slowing down. So what else is there for him to do with his fame but play a singing nude model in Bob's Burgers?
Driver plays Art the Artist in the two-part Christmas special "The Bleakening." Art is a friend of Marshmallow's and a nude model for an art class held at "Reflections." He attends a Christmas party at the restaurant and is later accused of stealing Linda's Christmas tree.
Zach Galifianakis (Chet)
Zach Galifianakis is a regular guest star as Felix Fischoeder, but many may not realize that he also stars as Chet in the episode "God Rest Ye Merry Gentle-Mannequins." The Belcher family finds Chet living in the storage unit that they inherited from Bob's great uncle. Having nowhere else to go, Bob agrees to let Chet live in their basement for a few days while he finds somewhere else to stay.
Chet makes them lavish window displays that bring in customers by the dozens, but they soon realize that Chet is unstable. He believes that he used to be an actual mannequin that lived in window displays at a department store and pines for his long, lost, mannequin wife.
Patton Oswalt (Moody Foodie)
If there's one food critic that can make or break a restaurant, it's the Moody Foodie. Patton Oswalt plays the overly harsh critic who goes so far as to dress up in costumes to avoid being recognized when visiting restaurants.
After getting other local places shut down, he visits Bob's restaurant and gives him a scathing review. The Moody Foodie is shown to be ruthless with his criticism and enjoys the power trip. The tables turn when Bob "accidentally" holds him hostage to make him try his burger again and give him a better review.
Will Forte (Upskirt Kurt)
Another SNL regular, Will Forte stars in two episodes as the scandalous Upskirt Kurt. Kurt is a pilot who makes a living giving flying lessons on his seaplane. He is known for seducing married women on Quippiquisset Island, also known as "Quickie-Kiss-It."
Linda first meets Kurt when she takes a flying lesson and he pretends to crash the plane. Despite his attempts to create a romantic setting with picnic blankets and wine, Linda is more focused on the food and quickly rebuffs his advances.
Molly Shannon (Millie)
Molly Shannon plays the obsessive 4th grader Millie Frock. Millie is a fellow student at Wagstaff and obsessed with Louise Belcher. She seems to genuinely believe that they are friends and goes off the deep end whenever that friendship is challenged.
In "Fort Night," Millie traps the Belcher children and their friends in a box fort in an alley because Louise hurt her feelings. Later, in the episode "The Millie-Churian Candidate," she runs for school president for the sole reason of making a "buddy system" rule that would force Louise to be around her.
Josh Gad (Damon)
Season 9's premiere episode, "Just One of the Boyz 4 Now for Now," is filled with celebrity guest stars, including Broadway legends like Andrew Rannells and Daveed Diggs. Another actor and Broadway star, Josh Gad, is also featured in this episode as one of Tina's many crushes.
Tina first meets Damon when she bumps into him while carrying a load of napkins to the restaurant. She instantly decides that he's the love of her life and follows him to auditions to be a new member of "Boys 4 Now." Throughout the episode, she fantasizes about the different boys fighting for her affection.
