Since the show premiered in 2011, Bob's Burgers has delighted fans with its clever humor and catchy songs. The show centers on Bob as he runs the restaurant of his dreams with his wife and three children. Various friends and foes of the family are also introduced as the family tackles various challenges throughout the episodes.
Over the past 10 years, the show has gained a fair amount of followers and created many memorable moments that fans adore. Despite there being so many memorable moments from the show, there are also underrated moments from the show's history that fans forget about. Whether those moments are funny quips or hidden jokes, the underrated moments of the series are just as important as the big ones.
Tina And Josh's Meet-Cute
It's no secret to fans that Tina is boy crazy. She pines over Jimmy Jr. nonstop, writes erotic fiction in various genres, and is obsessed with having a boyfriend. Her deep fascination with all things boy is one of the funniest things about her character, but there was one boy that Tina met that was the epitome of teenage love.
During season 3 episode 14, Linda starts a new job at a grocery store where the Belcher kids often come in to spend time with her. Tina spends time in the dairy fridge, where she meets a boy around her age who she falls for. After an extensive search to find the mystery boy whose finger fits in the bandaid Tina saved, she finally meets Josh face to face where they kiss. After meeting, the pair date briefly and maintain a friendship, but the meet-cute in the dairy fridge is highly underrated as a romantic teen moment.
Work Hard Or Die Trying, Girl Musical
Fans of Bob's Burgers know that the show ties in songs or musical numbers whenever they can. During season 5 episode 1, fans are treated to two hilarious musicals being put on by the infamous Belcher kids and their friends. After trying to get his idea for a Die Hard musical produced for the school, Gene is denied and the school instead chooses to go with Courtney's idea of Working Girl, The Musical.
Not only is this episode hilarious, but it also showcases the musical talents of Gene. His ability to create a one-man show of Die Hard isn't executed great, but his ability to create songs for every important moment of the original film is funny and creative. The episode also is fantastic because after Courtney and Gene mix their musicals together in order to put on a great show, fans are treated to a hilarious mash-up that is one of a kind.
Teddy And Bob's Friendship
Even though Teddy didn't become a major character until season 3, he has been involved with the show since it started. Teddy is odd, but sweet and really does care about the Belcher family. Over the course of the show, Bob denies that they have more than a customer-based relationship, but that doesn't stop Teddy from pushing a best friend relationship onto Bob.
Even though they seem like opposites, Teddy and Bob share many similarities. Bob even trusts Teddy to watch his children when he and Linda go out of town, and Teddy treats the Belcher kids like they are his own. Even though Bob denies it, Teddy and Bob have a sweet bond that only gets deeper as the show continues.
Running Gags
While it may not be a secret that Bob's Burgers has running gags, fans hardly ever talk about the clever use of the gags in each episode. For every episode, there are four constantly changing things that fans love to find. These four things set the tone for the episode and make fans laugh.
For every episode, there is a different pest control truck, burger of the day, store next door, and end credit sequence. During the opening title of every episode, fans try to quickly spot the pest control truck's clever new name and the new store next door that is always a different business. The burger of the day gag is always different because that is what Bob's restaurant is famous for. And the end sequence typically shows the family dancing or belting out a fabulous ballot.
Millie And Louise's "Friendship"
Throughout the series, Louise makes multiple enemies that challenge her. Louise has a difficult time inviting new friends into her group that do not serve her ultimate interests. However, Millie is a character that believes she and Louise are best friends when they're actually enemies.
Millie is first introduced in season 4 episode 2 when she traps the Belcher kids in their alley fort on Halloween night. Millie is obsessed with Louise and forces her friendship on Louise. Although Lousie fights it, she does secretly respect Millie. In season 8 episode 2, Louise consults with Millie in order to solve a crime at school. This is the one moment where Millie and Louise are able to establish a friendship, however odd that may be.
Tina And Louise's Bond
It is no secret to fans of Bob's Burgers that the Belcher kids are all extremely close. The kids work together, spend all their time together, and even have each other's back no matter what. Despite the close bond between the siblings, Tina and Louise seem to have a bond that goes beyond that.
There are many moments within the show that show just how close Tina and Louise are and how their bond goes beyond that of sisterhood. The pair communicates on deeper topics than are typically discussed and know more about each other than they let on. Tina knows Louise's secrets, like her obsession with Boo Boo from Boys 2 Now, and when Louise no longer needs to act on her crazed plans. Louise also has Tina's back, despite being selfish sometimes, and does whatever she can to help Tina.
Bob And Tina's Car Crash
During season 3 episode 7, Bob allows Tina to drive the family car in an empty parking lot. What ensues is the product of one of the most hilarious moments from the show. While driving in the parking lot, Tina panics and hits the only other car in the parking lot.
The moment of the car crash is one of the funniest, but least talked about moments from the series. Not only does it showcase Tina and her lack of urgency in the situation, but it also shows Bob trying to make a memorable moment with his daughter and the whole moment going horribly wrong.
Tina In The Hormone-iums
Tina is one of the only children in the Belcher family to actively participate in clubs. She volunteers to help with Valentine's Day activities, she is a member of the Thunder girls troop, and she s the debate team. There is, however, one group that Tina s and regrets soon after.
The Hormone-iums sing songs promoting healthy ways to handle teenage hormones. Tina leads the group after the former singer gets mono, which promotes the next big performance of The Hormone-iums. This bothers Tina because she wants to maintain a certain status with her peers where she kisses boys and doesn't give them mono. This leads to a hilarious episode that fans hardly discuss.
Freezer-Dome
During season 5 episode 3, the Belcher kids flood the restaurant freezer in order to create an ice skating rink. They do this, but Linda finds out. Instead of getting mad at the kids, Linda gets excited and helps them keep it a secret, but only if they do what Linda has planned.
Linda and the kids create a hilarious contest among the kid's friend group where the kids try to push each other out of a made-up ring. The freezer is the stage for the contest, and the kids all take turns trying to push each other out of the ring to win. Linda has the kids all dress up in costumes and is the unofficial host of the whole contest. This moment is hilarious and very underrated among fans.
Linda's Mother Skills
Linda's character on the show is one that is fun, outgoing, and a little crazy. Linda's character is also one that is far more unique than the other of the Belcher family. Despite being slightly crazy, Linda is a fantastic mother to her kids.
Linda is secretly a great mother to her kids, but fans hardly talk about her triumphs. She helps Tina through anxious moments, she celebrates Gene's musical abilities, and she understands that Louise is slightly scary. One thing that fans never discuss is how Linda is a fantastic mother and how she accepts her children's uniqueness.
