slasher comedy film Bodies Bodies Bodies. Bakalova attended the Bulgarian National Academy for Theater and Film Arts where she learned how to act for film from Kristina Grozeva and Petar Valchanov.

Deadline reports that Bakalova is producing and starring in Triumph (Триумф), her first Bulgarian film since Borat 2, that comes from directors Grozeva and Valchanov. The film is a dark comedy inspired by the real-life events in 1990s Bulgaria that involves a top-secret military operation comprised of army officers and psychics being tasked with digging up an elusive alien artifact in order to restore Bulgaria to its former glory. Bakalova will star alongside Julian Vergov (The Fourth Kind) and Margita Gosheva (The Father).

Bakalova's incredible ability to hit a specific tone with her performance is perfect for what a satirical film like Triumph needs. This, along with Bakalova working with directors that she already knows and trusts hopefully means that audiences will be able to experience even more stunning scenes by her with the help of Grozeva and Valchanov to elicit those performances. Triumph is currently filming in Bulgaria, so more details, including a release date and where those in the U.S. will be able to see the movie when it debuts, will likely become available in the coming months.
