A listing on the Pan European Game Information (PEGI) website has revealed that the PC. At the time, there was no mention of a Nintendo Switch version, as the base game is not available on Switch.

The Borderlands 3 DLC's original release date was March 18, but it was Gearbox Software, the developer of the Borderlands series, is headquartered in Texas. Fans have been eagerly awaiting a reason to return to the franchise's multi-planetary universe, and it seems as though the DLC will give them the chance to do so.

Now that the DLC is releasing, it may also be coming to Nintendo Switch. According to the PEGI website (via Nibellion), Borderlands 3: Director's Cut will be coming to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. PEGI is the European games rating board, similar to the ESRB in the United States. Developers and publishers must submit their games and their intended platforms in order to receive ratings. Because Borderlands 3: Director's Cut is a DLC and presumably requires the base Borderlands 3 game to run, this listing heavily implies that the base game will be available on Nintendo Switch as soon as the DLC launches. Although the Switch listing has been removed from the PEGI website, it's unclear whether this was a mistake or a leak of legitimate information. As of this writing, neither the DLC nor the base game is available on the Switch eShop.

It makes sense for Borderlands 3 and the Director's Cut DLC to release on Switch. Nintendo's platform has already received the other main titles in the series as well as Tales From The Borderlandswhich was announced during the company's big Nintendo Direct in February. Playing on the Switch gives fans more portability and more flexibility with their play, which has always been the platform's biggest advantage over other consoles.

The hope is that if the Director's Cut DLC is coming to Switch, the game's other DLCs will, too. Having the complete Borderlands 3 experience on Switch gives the console a boost in the eyes of fans, particularly those who first found the series through Nintendo's console. It also displays the versatility of the Switch, proving that its games and series aren't just for kids. Gearbox has not yet made an announcement, but hopefully, players will receive more clarification over the next day or two as to Borderlands 3's future on the Nintendo Switch.
