Borderlands 3 by Gearbox Software is a game loaded with loot and nothing was more powerful when the game first come out than the Porcelain Pipe Bomb. Players who found this bomb early on were able to utilize it's over-leveled abilities to one-shot many of the difficult bosses inside of Borderlands 3. Access to the grenade can be achieved fairly early on only requiring players to make it to the third discoverable planet, Eden-6. Since its release, Gearbox Studios has patched the Porcelain Pipe Bomb to not be as insanely powerful as it was at release. But with its multiplying grenade damage, it still holds up as one of the most useful bombs inside of Borderlands 3.
Eden-6 Holds The Loot in Borderlands 3
To achieve the Porcelain Pipe Bomb, a certain threshold of the main story will need to be completed. After gaining access to the planet Eden-6, players will have to finish the "Going Rogue" story mission in Ambermire. Once done, a side quest called "Raiders of the Lost Rock" can be picked up from the bounty board in the town of Reliance in Floodmoor Basin.
"Raiders of the Lost Rock" Side Mission in Borderlands 3
The "Raiders of the Lost Rock" side mission in Borderlands 3 is a short one that's easy to follow. A man named Miles Brown will give the quest, claiming a nest of Jabbers stole his favorite rock. Teleport over to Ambermire and head to the quest marker. The first rock will be sitting directly outside of the Ambermine entrance, pick it up and follow the breadcrumb trail of other similar looking rocks until you reach a door in the back of the mine. At this point, the door will open and a small group of Jabbers will spawn out of it. Dispense of them and continue into the door they came from. A mini-boss will appear, which is a larger version of a Jabber, along with a few normal-sized Jabbers. Headshots work best on the beasties. Kill the smaller ones first then focus your strength on the big boy.
After a decent fight, the large Jabber will drop the all-important rock named Abigail. Return to Miles Brown in Floodmoor Basin and give the man his rocks. In return, he will present the prized Porcelain Pipe Bomb. Now wreak havoc in the worlds with your new toy.
Although Gearbox has nerfed the ultimate bomb since release, it is still one of the best grenade mods available in the game. The Porcelain Pipe Bomb stands tall amongst the plentitude of loot throughout Borderlands 3. It is also possible to get the bomb in its original un-patched state by playing the game directly from the disc without ever updating. This one-hit-kill machine is a fun toy to handle the harder bosses inside the game.
