It has been years since the animes of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations and Black Clover have been put into hiatus, and for the first time in a long time, fans have been treated to some interesting news. However, there is a big catch to it that while it does make the wait a little less excruciating, there hasn't been any substantial development.
This year's Anime Japan event had many big news, and after the weekend full of announcements concluded, the business day commenced. This is where many organizations and companies come together to promote and new projects, as well as connect domestic and international businesses.
On the website for Anime Japan, TV Tokyo, the producers of the Naruto franchise, Black Clover and more, revealed that they will be exhibiting Boruto, Black Clover, Naruto and Gintama as one of the anime that will be broadcast in either 2025 or beyond. Unfortunately, this was the only piece of "news" available, and there were no new updates even though the event was a great chance to.
Anime Japan 2025 Was A Disappointment For These Two Anime
Black Clover was put on hiatus in March 2021, and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations about 2 years later. Both animated by Studio Pierrot and produced by TV Tokyo, they were shelved primarily because of the anime catching up to the source material as well as poor scheduling and production that led to Pierrot changing their methods and opting for a seasonal schedule for their projects going forward. This year's Anime Japan event had a booth where Pierrot would reveal their future works, but unfortunately, nothing came out for these series.

However, there is still a lot of hope for them in this year's Jump Festa event at the end of the year. Given that these series are some of the biggest anime in the world, a proper platform is needed to announce their return, and Jump Festa is perfect, given that some of the biggest anime news, such as Chainsaw Man's movie and One Piece's remake, were all announced here. Furthermore, these two series were frequently exhibited in the event when they were airing.
Blck Clover And Boruto Will Return In Due Time
The Series Will Surely Come Back
While this event did not have what fans of Boruto and Black Clover wanted, the fact remains that TV Tokyo is exhibiting the anime to other businesses, meaning that progress is still happening and that the animes will return sooner or later. Furthermore, they will surely come back better than ever with a much stronger production, and the fact that both anime will adapt the best content in the story means there is a lot to look forward to.
