Warning: SPOILERS for episode #287 of Boruto.Boruto's most overpowered character finally makes her anime debut, as episode #287 of the Naruto sequel introduces Eida, the cyborg woman with the power to make anyone instantly fall in love with her.
Episode #287 of Boruto, "Claw Marks", is the first of the Code Arc, which will bring the anime up to speed with the manga, after many months of filler episodes. Most recently, Boruto has adapted Sasuke Retsuden, a popular Naruto spinoff sequel that follows the adventures of Sasuke and Sakura in the land of Redaku, looking for a cure for Naruto's mysterious illness. With episode #287, the anime goes back to its main story and timeline, introducing a character that will play a major role in the future: Eida.
Eida Is A Powerful But Unruly Member Of Kara
Eida was kept in cryogenic stasis in a secret base belonging to Boro, a deceased member of Kara. The new leader of the group, Code, decided to wake Eida up after being entrusted by Isshiki Otsutsuki to complete his mission and carry on the Otsutsuki will by harvesting the chakra fruit and ascending to godhood. Code plans to use Eida to kill Naruto and destroy Konoha, despite how dangerous her powers are, even for himself. The Boruto anime has really made justice to the character, making Eida look gorgeous, seducing, and mysterious during her introduction at the end of the episode.
Despite only appearing recently in the Boruto manga, Eida has already left a huge mark thanks to her absolutely overpowered abilities, created by Kara's scientist Amado from the Otsutsuki's unique powers. Eida's controversial power makes anyone who sees her immediately fall in love, regardless of age and gender, except for those with Otsutsuki genes. Even seasoned shinobi like Shikamaru find it impossible to resist Eida's commands after falling under her spell. If that weren't enough, Eida has another absurd power called Senrigan, which makes her able to perceive everything that is currently happening in the world and all that has happened in the past, up to the point she was born.
Eida's Unique Powers Will Completely Upset Boruto
Eida's role in the manga has been the subject of a lot of debate among fans of Boruto. Her abilities seem simply too strong, and they have really upset Boruto's power balance. Also, Eida's "power of love" has turned the series into a weird rom-com for a time. However, fans must surely be happy that the Boruto anime has finally begun to catch up with the manga. The introduction of Eida marks an important turning point in the series, so it's great to see that the Boruto anime has really made justice to this pivotal moment.
