Not only did the revelation that Eida can access the god-tier powers of "omnipotence" send shock waves throughout Naruto's universe.
After being led to believe that Boruto has dropped several hints that Amado is the series' true big bad.
Amado's True Confessions Are A Lie
What the revelation of Eida's omnipotence revealed is that Amado's "truth" may be misinformation at best and a rank conspiracy theory at worst. According to Momoshiki Otsutsuki, Eida was given the power of Shibai, an Otsutsuki God, and that power has been used by Otsutsuki in the past to literally "rewrite" the minds of humanity to think and believe whatever ideas or "facts" the God wanted them to believe in. This is best demonstrated in Eida's ability to make everyone but Kawaki, Naruto, and interestingly, Sarada, believe that Naruto is "Public Enemy No. 1".
If the Otsutsuki have used the power multiple times in the past to change basic perceptions and beliefs in the minds of humanity; the question is how much of Amado's story is true or rather what an Otsutsuki wants him to think is true. If someone as unsure of her skills as Eida is able to tap into the power, with Kawaki's incitement, and "flip" the minds of some of the most skilled shinobi in the world, how effective could an Otsutski with an understanding of the ability and access to tap into the ability, such as Isshilki, or even Momoshiki, be in using it to get humans to literally do their bidding? It would seem, for a man as desperate as Amado is to resurrect his daughter, flipping his mind would be possible with Omnipotence.
If this is the case, the real problem is that everyone in the village is taking Amado's story as the truth, when the reality is they are being duped into letting down their guards and ignoring important signs that might otherwise help them discern who he true enemy is, and how they may be stopped. Now that this element of omnipotence has been revealed, Boruto must think of a way to determine its veracity, or else Naruto's world will face an existential threat where are willing participants in their own undoing.
Boruto is now available from Viz Media.
