Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has just revealed the source of Himawari's mysterious strength, which has been teased for a very long time in both the manga and the anime. It turns out that Himawari has not only inherited her father's signature face marking, but also the primary source of Naruto's power.
Chapter #8 of Bourto: Two Blue Vortex saw the new main villains Jura and Hidari infiltrating the Hidden Leaf Village in search of Naruto. They were not aware that Kawaki had already sealed Naruto and Hinata in a separate dimension, so they went to the one place they thought he would be.
As a self-aware Divine Tree born from the Ten-Tails, Jura can track the chakra of the Tailed Beasts. By following the chakra of a Jinchuriki, Jura encountered Himawari and was confused as to why he could sense the Nine Tail chakra within her.
Himawari Has Inherited Kurama's Chakra

Although this revelation is shocking, Himawari isn't the first person to have Kurama's chakra without being a jinchuriki. The Gold and Silver Twins, Kinkaku and Ginkaku, also had some of Kurama's chakra after being swallowed up by the beast for 2 weeks. However, Himawari's case is more unique, as she was born with the chakra rather than acquiring it. This is most likely due to being the daughter of Naruto, who was the host of all of Kurama's chakra.
The chapter ends on a major cliffhanger, but there is enough to conclude that Himawari has been thrust deeper into the plot. The mysterious strength of Himawari has been teased several times, last when was also a brilliant foreshadowing when Daemon, one of the franchise's strongest characters, felt threatened by her. Although Himawari isn't aware that Kurama's chakra resides in her, her encounter with Jura might reveal that she is more powerful than she thought. Given how apparently no one in Konoha can face Jura and Hidari, Himawari's new powers could prove to be important in fights.
There is still a lot unknown about Himawari's chakra, as the chapter left this revelation for the very end. She has always been a prodigy, awakening the Hyuga Clan's Byakugan early and having incredible brute strength. Now that she also has the chakra of the most powerful Tailed Beast, the sky is the limit for Himawari, and she will be an integral part of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
