Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is the long-awaited time skip of the sequel ninja hit series, and with the first arc now completed, the series has laid the foundations for many incredible moments that could take the internet by storm. With the manga now heating up, there are many moments to be excited about.

The sequel begins three years after Boruto Uzumaki is labeled a traitor due to Eida's reality-manipulating abilities. He makes a dramatic entrance during an assault on Konoha orchestrated by Code and his followers, and although he manages to neutralize the immediate danger, Boruto's objectives extend beyond this as he strives to eradicate an even greater disaster that threatens to engulf the world.

10 Learning Amado's True Goal

The Mad Scientist Is As Secretive As Can Be

Boruto's Amado Smoking a Cigarette

It wouldn't be a stretch to say that Amado is the smartest character in the entire Naruto franchise, and the way he is always a step ahead of everyone and has them around his fingers makes him one of the most important characters. He has gradually been shown to be pulling the strings, such as putting limiters on Kawaki's powers. This, and many other moments, begs the question; what is Amado's real goal?

It was already revealed that the thing Amado is striving for is to revive his dead daughter, Akebi, and because of that, he will go to the end of the world. However, it is incredibly obvious there is something more to it, and as has been shown a few times already, Amado hides a lot of the truth. While he did not lie about his daughter's death, how he is planning on bringing her back and what other objectives he has are shrouded in mystery. Because of how extremely cunning and brilliant he is, Amado is possibly the most dangerous character in Boruto if his intentions really are evil.

9 Learning the Truth Behind Kurama's Resurrection

The Lore Of The Tailed Beasts Is About To Change

Kurama speaking with Himawari in her head

In the heartbreaking moment where Kurama gave his life in exchange for Baryon Mode, fans bid farewell to the Nine-Tailed Fox for good. However, in chapter #9, Jura tracks down Kurama's chakra and this leads him to Himawari. Shortly after, Kurama revealed himself to the young girl, showing that he had been alive and dormant for a while. Furthermore, even he didn't know how he managed to come after his chakra was destroyed in the formation of Baryon Mode.

Because of such a huge plot twist, the series will inevitably return to this and answer why the beloved fox returned inside Naruto's daughter. With how much the series has dealt with fate and destiny, this is bound to have something to do with it. Furthermore, it will change the lore of the Tailed Beasts as fans know it. Interestingly, the Boruto database confirmed that Kurama's return was way too fast and that the reason was unclear, which again teases the series will revisit this plot point.

8 Sasuke's Full Fight With Code

Sasuke's Heroic Struggle Will Be Shown In Its Entirety

Boruto_Sasuke versus Code

Fans were unhappy about how Sasuke's fight against Code was never shown, but recent developments point to the possibility that Sasuke and Code's full fight will be shown. It was revealed that Boruto came back to help Sasuke and when he tried to use his Karma, he was almost possessed by Momoshiki. Besides giving Sasuke the proper respect and fight he deserves, this major event also strengthens the possibility of a proper flashback and what really transpired.

While Sasuke is much weaker than he was, he is still strong enough to give Code a good fight, and this is apparent given he managed to wound one of his eyes. Furthermore, the possibility of a team-up between Sasuke and Boruto is extremely exciting and if it does happen, it could very well be the highlight of the fight. There is a lot of potential for Sasuke's last stand against Code, and each is as exciting as the other.

7 Sarada And Sumire's Immunity Getting Explained

The Two Heroines Could Be Key Against The Omnipotence

Boruto's Sarada Eida and Sumire together again

After Eida subconsciously used her Omnipotence shinjutsu to manipulate the world into thinking Boruto was behind Naruto and Hinata's murders, the only people who were unaffected were Boruto, Kawaki, Daemon, and shockingly, Sarada and Sumire. These 2 were not related to Eida nor were Otsutsukis, so it was quite puzzling how they were spared from this incredible power. This interesting turn of events ensured that these two would continue to receive screen time, and sure enough, their relevance has increased.

There are a few theories as to why they were unaffected, with the most popular one being that Eida subconsciously didn't want to manipulate the only two people unaffected by her Clairvoyance power. Eida was lonely because everyone saw her falling for her, so the fact that Sarada and Sumire were unaffected and didn't fawn over him made her happy.

6 Momoshiki's Emergence

The Inner Demon Will Cause Unbelievable Havoc

Sasuke and Boruto with Momoshiki in the middle

Boruto's inner demon has been the most active villain in the series, and he keeps proving why he is one of the deadliest, if not the deadliest. In chapter #15, it was revealed that Momoshiki has been dormant for 3 years and hasn't talked to Boruto or made an attempt to take over. This is very eery, given how cunning Momoshiki is, and even Boruto is worried. Kawaki's fears are probably going to turn into reality once the beast inside Boruto emerges.

What makes his return that much more scary is the fact that Boruto is now stronger than ever and has a huge arsenal of weapons. Momoshiki being able to use his body and jutsus at will and way more efficiently means that there will be no one to stop him except Jura and Daemon, and unless Boruto and Kashin Koji have a contingency plan to subdue Momoshiki, the situation will be more grim than ever.

5 Kakashi's Return

The Sixth Hokage Will Emerge From Retirement

Kakashi as Hokage in Boruto

One of the biggest mysteries in the series is why the sixth Hokage has not appeared yet. This made sense in part 1, given Naruto and Sasuke were still active, and they were more than enough to handle any threats. However, now that the two of them are out of the picture and the world is in a bigger crisis than ever, the leadership and strength of Kakashi are desperately needed. Fortunately for fans, Ikemoto is aware of the need to bring Kakashi back in one of his previous interviews, so it won't be long until he returns.

The set-up is already there for him to come back. For one, Shikamaru is not the official Hokage yet, and after the Shinju invasion and Boruto escaping from captivity, the Elders warned Shikamaru that there would be consequences, which could mean that he could be replaced as a Hokage. There is precedent for a former Hokage to return to power, as demonstrated by Hiruzen. Whatever role he does end up taking, Kakashi's comeback will shake up the series and will be a turning point.

4 Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan

The Young Uchiha's Visual Prowess Is Coming Soon

Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan awakening after Boruto is banshed from the Village.

Ever since Sarada awakened the legendary Mangekyo Sharingan at the end of Boruto part 1, fans have been very excited to see her ocular powers in action for the first time. After being sidelined for a majority of the first part, this awakening restored hope that she would be more relevant, and sure enough, she and Team 7 have not only received an increase in screen time but are also the main characters in this arc. All that is left is for Sarada to be put in a situation where she has to use her powers.

The possibilities of powers are endless, and as it has been established with other s of the Mangekyo, fans can expect Sarada to receive two abilities from each of her eyes and access to the indestructible Susano. Her abilities will be based on her personality too, just like it has always been. With her eventual rematch against Hidari on the horizon, the chances that Sarada will use her Mangekyo Sharingan in this arc are very high.

3 Naruto And Sasuke's Return

Naruto and Sasuke in Boruto

While removing the two cornerstones of the franchise was a controversial development, it made room for other side characters and the new generation to step up. However, this doesn't mean Naruto and Sasuke are completely out of the fold. As long as they aren't dead, they can always be brought back. Firstly, Jura is dead set on devouring Naruto, and his quest could very well lead him to unseal him from Kawaki's dimension.

Sasuke has an even better chance of returning, and the path to bring him back has been shown with the introduction of the Thorn Soul Bulb in Boruto. While Hidari is indeed powerful, he has already been defeated once, and with Team 7 now knowing how to restore the victim of the God Trees, it will most likely happen again. The possibility of a reunion between father and daughter and master and student is extremely exciting and emotional.

2 Konoha's Destruction

The Hidden Leaf Is In More Danger Than Ever

Image of Konoha village destroyed

Over the years, Konoha has suffered many invasions and attacks of different degrees, some being repelled while others completely destroyed it. However, this next one could be the most devastating one yet, given the power level of the characters, and it is unlikely the villagers will be revived again like last time. From the glimpses in the first scene, it seems nothing was spared; not the Hokage face statues nor the buildings above it.

The biggest mysteries are who is responsible for this and how the events transpired. The suspects right now are Code and Jura, two of the main antagonists. Others like Momoshiki and Amado could also be responsible, so it is hard to theorize who is the culprit. Because there are so many villains going around, it's no wonder the village was leveled, and when the time has come for the series to show what really happened, it will be some of the most dramatic and intense moments in the series.

1 Boruto And Kawaki's Big Fight

The Battle Between Brother Is The Most Exciting Part Of The Series

Boruto and Kawaki Prepare For a Showdown

A huge reason why people are so interested in the series is to witness the exciting battle between Boruto and Kawaki on top of the destroyed Hokage faces with a demolished Konoha in the background. Two Blue Vortex has gradually recontextualized that incredible scene at the beginning, fanning the excitement for the moment. While this scene has spoiled the fact that Boruto will eventually control his Karma, the positives far outweigh the negatives.

Another exciting thing about this fight is that Kawaki will be on par with Boruto, who is now incredibly powerful and has learned many new techniques. The mystery as to how Kawaki will become stronger and the abilities that will make him rival his brother is alluring. The Naruto franchise has produced some of the greatest fights, such as both the Naruto vs Sasuke fights, Rock Lee vs Gaara, Itachi vs Sasuke and more, and if done right, Boruto vs Kawaki could be just as good if not better.
