Besides these roles, Starr has recently appeared in Guy Ritchie's The Covenant and the horror movie Cobweb. While his career extends beyond The Boys, his impeccable and chilling performance as Homelander is what put Anthony Starr on the map, as evident by how many times Starr has reprised the role.

Character: Starr's performance is often praised as one of the best aspects of the show, conveying both the terrifying and hilarious sides of Homelander. Homelander is the show's central villain, an incredibly complex manchild who uses his superpowers to establish dominance over those he deems not worthy. That said, Homelander has an irreversible need to be loved, making him an overly compelling antagonist to go up against the titular team. The Boys season 4 has Homelander acting more on his murderous urges as he tries to build a lasting dynasty for himself and his son, Ryan.

There are countless examples of Homelander overpowering others Supes in The Boys, and his incredible strength comes down to one important factor.

Crawford is hilarious at playing The Deep's pathetic and oblivious nature, as well as managing to successfully translate various romantic relationships with sea animals. In The Boys season 4, The Deep explores his new role as a trusted ally of Homelander, though one who is too scared to go against the latter.

Character: Like Crawford, Usher is very effective at playing the complexity of A-Train, a Supe who has done awful things but is incredibly compelling to watch. A-Train is a self-involved and dangerous Supe, but one who has gradually learned more about his responsibility as a hero as the series goes on. A-Train's story in The Boys season 4 sees him as one of Homelander's lackeys, leading him to become more involved in providing information to The Boys, potentially even leading him down the path of a full-blown turncoat.
Jessie T. Usher was one of the few of The Boys' cast to appear in the show's spin-off, Gen V.
Nathan Mitchell as Black Noir II
Date of Birth: December 6, 1988
Actor: Nathan Mitchell is a Canadian actor born in Mississauga, Ontario. Mitchell has been part of The Boys' ensemble since the beginning, though fans will be forgiven for not recognizing Mitchell's face as it has been hidden under a mask the entire time. The Black Noir actor doesn't have many roles to his name outside of The Boys, but it's far from the only part in his still-growing career. Mitchell has appeared in shows like The Arrow and Supernatural, with a recurring role in iZombie. Most recently, he ed the Netflix series Ginny & Georgia as Zion Miller.

Character: Interestingly, Mitchell has played two different versions of the same character. Initially, Mitchell portrayed the original Black Noir, a mute, endlessly traumatized man named Earving. The original Noir was one of The Boys' most powerful Supes and had a tragic history involving Vought and Soldier Boy. Noir was killed by Homelander in The Boys season 3, yet his return was confirmed for The Boys season 4. In the latter, Mitchell plays an actor hired by Homelander to play the role of Black Noir to cover up the real hero's death. As such, Black Noir II is much more talkative.
