It's both surprising and not surprising that one of the best actors of our time has not been in a single perform quite well at the box office.
His most recognizable roles are unforgettable characters. Here are iconic Brad Pitt characters sorted into their Hogwarts Houses.
Don "Wardaddy" Collier: Slytherin
It is quite surprising that such a good war movie like Fury is often overlooked when it comes to great historical films of the past decade. It is an excellent character examination which also shows how immoral war is. Alongside Pitt, we also get some great performances from Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Pena, and others.
"Wardaddy" has seen many things in his life and war has made a grim and somewhat bitter man out of him who nevertheless worries about his soldiers and even lets them choose to leave him in a difficult situation if they want to. These protective traits and strict nature make him a Slytherin.
Mickey O'Neil: Hufflepuff
Snatch is probably Guy Ritchie's greatest masterpiece to this day (even taking into the recent The Gentlemen that have received positive reviews both from critics and audiences). It's great to know that Brad Pitt had such a memorable role in the iconic film.
Mickey O'Neil is full of himself, but he is still a very funny and easy-going guy who is also quite protective of his family and smart enough to get things done his own way even when it seems that he has made a bad deal for himself. His lighthearted nature is what makes him a Hufflepuff.
Rusty Ryan: Ravenclaw
The most remarkable thing about Ocean's Eleven is not just the intricate plot, but also the star-studded cast that includes Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Julia Roberts, Andy Garcia, Bernie Mac, and many others you might know one way or another.
Pitt's character Rusty Ryan is a very confident and charming person who acts as the voice of reason and the right hand of Danny (played by Clooney). His intelligence and versatility with his easy-going nature are all the characteristics that make him a Ravenclaw.
Benjamin Button: Hufflepuff
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is one of David Fincher's most unusual works with an original concept taken from F. Scott Fitzgerald's short story of the same name. No wonder it went on to get thirteen Academy Award nominations and winning three of them.
Benjamin is a very kind and sweet soul always curious about the world. He enjoys life to its fullest and even finds true love despite all the bad things he has to face in his life and a somewhat tragic end to his story. All things taken into , he is a hopeless Hufflepuff.
David Mills: Hufflepuff
Se7en is one of the reasons why David Fincher is considered one of the greatest directors of all time. It is dark and brutal where it should be, but also very deep and thoughtful in other crucial moments. And, of course, the story and the characters will keep you engaged while the ending will blow your mind.
David Mills is a somewhat naive, young detective who s another detective (played by Morgan Freeman) about to retire. Throughout the film, we get to know David better and see that he sees the good things in everything he encounters (though that can't be said about his final decision). No doubt, David is also a Hufflepuff.
Achilles: Gryffindor
Epic historical war dramas like Troy do not always become successful, but this film is definitely one of the better ones of the bunch. The cast is probably one of the reasons for its success with such prominent names as Eric Bana, Orlando Bloom, and Sean Bean among others.
Achilles often acts as a rough man, but it is easy to expect warriors from Ancient Greece to act this way. That being said, he does show kindness on many occasions and his friendship with Patroclus is simply great. With his bravery and natural leading skills, Achilles is definitely a Gryffindor.
John Smith: Gryffindor
Mr. & Mrs. Smith is an action comedy like no other. Besides, it is the reason why we got to see two of the hottest people on Earth — Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie — onscreen before they eventually got together and became one of the most beautiful couples that Hollywood has ever seen.
John Smith appears to be bored with his married life though he does enjoy his job as an assassin. He is very smart, brave, and charismatic which is why he is considered one of the top assassins. And once he and his wife discover that they were sent to kill each other, their rediscovered love makes them feel even more alive and shows that John is a Gryffindor.
Lt. Aldo Raine: Ravenclaw
Inglourious Basterds is often considered to be Quentin Tarantino's best film — even better than Pulp Fiction (but this probably depends on your taste). Christoph Waltz even won an Academy Award for his performance (which was one of the eight nominations the film got at the Oscars).
Lt. Aldo Raine is a confident man who knows how to lead his soldiers and finds innovative solutions to the challenges they face on their way — even though not everything goes according to plan most of the time. With his creative mind, Aldo is definitely a Ravenclaw.
Cliff Booth: Gryffindor
The recent Once Upon a Time in Hollywood might not have won the Academy Award for Best Picture, but it is still one of the best films of the previous year. Watching Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Margot Robbie in one film together is an unforgettable experience.
Cliff Booth is a simple man who doesn't need much in life and loves his friend and his dog caring for them both deeply. There is nothing complicated about him, but he does tend to do good deeds which ultimately becomes a trait of his personality and makes him a Gryffindor.
Tyler Durden: Slytherin
Probably David Fincher's greatest film ever made (though one could argue Gone Girl is better), Fight Club has been a cult classic for years now. Maybe it's the incredible performances of Edward Norton and Helena Bonham Carter alongside Pitt, or maybe it is the intricate plot with one of the biggest plot twists ever.
Tyler Durden captures the attention of anyone listening to what he has to say, but even his whole look already inspires the person looking at him. Tyler knows what he wants from life and can easily persuade others to follow him, but he decides to pursue his own interests and create chaos which makes him a Slytherin.
