Hisuian Zoroark has just been released in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and obtaining Hisuian Zorua comes with a new gimmick. Trainers wanting Hisuian Zorua not only are introduced to the new breeding method in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet but also need to obtain a certain item to have a chance of hatching them. Furthermore, until Pokémon Home compatibility comes to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, this will be the only method of obtaining Hisuian Zorua since trainers cannot catch this form in the wild. Hisuian-Zorua and Hisuian Zoroark are different from their present-day forms as they are Normal-/Ghost-type Pokémon instead of Dark-type Pokémon.
The first step to breeding Hisuian Zoroark is by obtaining one through purchasing the recently announced Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC or through trades. Next, trainers need to find a flat spot on the map to set up a Picnic where trainers also make Sandwiches in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. By having a Paldean Zoroark with the opposite gender or a Ditto in the party, Hisuian Zoroark can breed but will only hatch Paldean Zorua. Therefore, the trainer will need to have Hisuian Zoroark hold an item called the Everstone.
How to Get an Everstone
The Everstone in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet can be found at the Delibird Presents Stores or in the wild. Trainers more likely will find them as a sparkling random drop than in a Poké Ball. If the trainer does not have $3,000 Poké dollars or does not want to spend money they should be patient in obtaining one as its occurrence is random.
Historically, the Everstone was used only for the purpose of not evolving one's Pokémon but with recent game changes became an essential part of breeding alongside the Destiny Knot in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Breeding for Hisuian Zorua
After obtaining an Everstone in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet give it to the acquired Hisuian Zoroark. Alongside the Hisuian Zoroark in the trainer's party should be a Ditto or an opposite-gendered Paldean Zoroark. Once the trainer sets up a Picnic the two Pokémon can breed, however, to make it more efficient make a Sandwich with Egg Power.
Additionally, before breeding, if trainers choose not to use any ingredients, they can spend their money at Kofu Lounge for a Hot and Sour Soup or Gastronomie en Famile for a Compote de Fils. According to Game8.co, the easiest Sandwiches are the Jam Sandwich, Great Peanut Butter Sandwich, or Great Marmalade Sandwich which have ingredients easily accessible for early and late-game trainers.
Breeding is one of the best things to do after beating the game in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and with the addition of Hisuian Zoroark to the game Hisuian Zorua is obtainable.
