Britney & Kevin: Chaotic (2005)
A reality TV show revolving around the one and only Britney Spears at the height of her fame sounds like it was bound for success. The private starlet was constantly hassled about her home life and she finally gave everyone a view with Britney and Kevin: Chaotic.
The show appeared on UPN back in 2005 and only lasted one season. The couple showed fans their home life, which was shot on a home recorder. The two talked about their relationship as they prepared for their wedding. However, some thought the show was too sexually explicit and narcissistic. Season one only had five episodes.
Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch (2010)
Chad Ochocinco was a former NFL wide receiver whose personality made him a hit with fans and non-football fans. As a public figure, VH1 gave him a shot with his own dating reality TV show in 2010 called Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch.
In the show, Chad meets 85 women and narrows them down to find love. Chad ended up falling in love with Rubi Pazmino. The two dated for a while after the show but ended up calling it quits. Four years after the show, Pazmino was in the news again but for a different reason: she was arrested for stabbing her new boyfriend in the chest.
The Hasslehoffs (2010-2011)
David Hasselhoff received world-wide fame after his time on Baywatch, which led to other incredible opportunities for his career. But in 2010, A&E gave him and his daughters a shot at reality TV fame and it failed hard.
As a single dad, the show revolved around Hasselhoff raising his two daughters who are starting their own powerful careers. The only problem was that fans didn't care. A&E canceled the show after two episodes, though there were ten filmed in total.
What Would Ryan Lochte Do? (2013)
Olympian swimmer Ryan Lochte was given his own reality TV show in 2013 called What Would Ryan Lochte Do?. The show premiered on the E! Network and showed Lochte preparing for the 2016 Olympics and his various business ventures.
Through it all, Lochte was also interested in meeting his dream woman. However, it appears that Lochte should focus his energy on swimming because the network canceled the show after one season and eight episodes.
Skating With The Stars (2010)
After the success of Dancing With the Stars, ABC thought the next best thing was Skating With the Stars, but they were wrong. For whatever reason, fans just didn't connect with celebrities skating with professionals the same way they did with professional dancers.
The ice show only lasted one season and had celebrities like Bethenny Frankel, Vince Young, and Sean Young on it. Actress Rebecca Budig ended up winning the contest with her professional partner Fred Palascak, but it didn't amount to much.
The Show With Vinny (2013)
Vinny Guadagnino became an instant reality TV celebrity after appearing on MTV's The Jersey Shore. The entire cast found fame and fortune and multiple spin-off deals, including Vinny. Naturally, this led to Vinny getting his own reality talk show called The Show With Vinny.
The basis of the show was that Vinny invited celebrities to his family home on Staten Island, New York for food and conversation — the Guadagnino way. But even with guests like ASAP Rocky, Mark Wahlberg, Brittany Snow, and Ciara, the show didn't make it past one season.
Holly's World (2009-2011)
Holly Maddison was on the hit reality television show on the E! Network, The Girls Next Door. As Hugh Hefner's main girlfriend, the world followed their dynamic in awe. But once the show ended and Holly and Hef broke up, Maddison moved on with her life.
She ended up moving to Las Vegas to star in her own show, Peepshow. E! continued to follow Maddison as she transitioned to Las Vegas with a new home, new friends, and a new job. The show was entertaining but only lasted for two seasons.
Brooke Knows Best (2008-2009)
Hogan Knows Best was a reality TV show focused around former WWE star Hulk Hogan and his family life. After four seasons and a divorce, the show fell apart. However, Hulk's daughter Brooke wasn't done with the TV world so she had her own spin-off called Brooke Knows Best.
VH1 followed her as she moved out of her parents' house into her own apartment in Miami. No longer with her famous parents, Brooke continued to strive for a singing career while handing her parents' divorce. The show was intriguing but not good enough to last longer than two seasons -- which, to be fair, was better than what most of the shows listed here got.
House Of Carters (2006)
Fans of the Backstreet Boys would assume that a reality show focused on Nick Carter (one of the Backstreet Boys) and his family would be the ultimate TV show, but that wasn't the case.
House of Carters followed Nick Carter and his four siblings as they battled family issues while Nick and the band tried to get their music career back in full swing. The Carter kids tried to reconnect and get back on track, but it wasn't a smooth transition. Surprisingly, the show painted a dark world for Carter and the family, which was what fans were not expecting. The show only pumped out eight episodes of one season.
Living Lohan (2008)
When Lindsay Lohan was at the height of her career, it was said that her mother and father were also money and fame-hungry. This proved to be accurate when E! gave Dina Lohan and her kids (except for Lindsay, who didn't want any part of it) a reality show called Living Lohan.
In Living Lohan, Dina acted as the kids' manager as she tried to launch a career for her daughter Aliana. If fans were expecting Lindsay to pop up, they'd be mistaken because the series only lasted one season.
