The AK47 in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is great in the right hands. This is what most players look at as a reliable weapon across the series. It's widely regarded as one of the best Assault Rifles in the game, capable of decimating enemies with its high damage output. The only problem is that it is terrible at long range, and the recoil is pretty bad. However, with the right loadout, the AK47 gets closer to overcoming these issues.

Even with the new perks, you will usually want to use an AK47 in close and mid-range fights. This is normally where most fights in closed-in areas happen, so it's a great choice overall. While the best AK47 loadouts help control the recoil, it's better to learn how to handle the recoil of weapons instead of relying on a loadout. However, the right attachments make it much easier to remove enemies and Black Ops 6's zombies mode.

Best Attachments For AK74

The Right Loadout Is Essential

The AK47 demands a specific attachment setup in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to fully unleash its potential. The thing to about the AK47 is that it is known for its reliability over its power. There are more powerful primary weapons, but the AK47 will be the right choice if you are great at nailing those headshots. that the recoil tends to be harder to control, but with the right loadout, you can negate this a lot.

Equipment

What It Does

Barrel

Long Barrel

This increases the damage range.

Muzzle

Suppressor

This keeps you off the enemy radar, making you harder to detect.

Underbarrel

Vertical Grip

This attachment dramatically reduces horizontal recoil, making it the most important attachment.

Magazine

Extended Mag I

The extra ammo capacity outweighs the slight penalty for reload speed.

Rear Grip

Quick Draw Grip

This speeds up ADS (aim down sight) time, which is essential for a weapon like the AK47 that can feel sluggish.

The table above has attachments that counteract the downsides of the AK47, such as the recoil and slow ADS, while also building on its damage over long ranges. You won't take the AK47 out for longer shots without this loadout. The attachment combination shown in the table above provides the AK74 with the necessary balance of damage, range, control, and speed, transforming it into a much more reliable weapon to use in different situations.

Best Perks For AK74

You Need The Right Perks Too

Call of Duty Black Ops two operators running through burning streets.

The right perks for an AK47 must revolve around fighting multiple enemies at once and staying in control in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The AK47 is made for direct combat, so you will want perks that remove targets from your back while showing you where the enemies are.

A few perks make you a complete ghost to the enemy, and that's what is important to focus on. You're near unstoppable if you can be a ghost with an AK47.

  • Perk 1: Cold-Blooded (Makes you invisible to AI targeting and thermal optics. Enemy-controlled Scorestreaks won't highlight you. You're also immune to Spy Cams.)
  • Perk 2: Forward Intel (Enlarges your minimap and displays arrows pointing to the locations of revealed enemies.)
  • Perk 3: Ghost (Makes you invisible to enemy radar, UAVs, and Scorestreaks when moving, planting, defusing, or controlling Scorestreaks. You're also immune to the Prox Alarm.)
  • Perk 4: Recon (You can see enemies through walls briefly after they respawn. A flashing indicator on your HUD alerts you to enemies outside of your direct view. You don't leave behind death skulls after killing enemies.)

Ghost, Forward Intel, Cold-Blooded, and Recon are perfect for maximizing the AK74's effectiveness in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. These perks offer a combination of stealth, awareness, and survivability most players need to survive on the battlefield.

Feel free to mix and match, but keep Forward Intel because the AK47 is made for direct conflict, and this will keep an arrow on the enemies you've already seen. The rest can be swapped out for your preferred Perks, but we recommend this loadout for the Nuketown map in Black Ops 6.

The best perks work with your playstyle, so if you want to switch them out, it should be based on how you fight.

When All Else Fails, Reach Into Your Pocket

Call of Duty Black Ops AK47 Hung Up On Display.

The Stim Shot and Sticky Grenade are the best items for the AK74 build in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, as seen in Rush's video on YouTube below. Using an AK47 means you're going to be in shootouts pretty often. So it would be best if you had a way to get enemies to leave or get them while they're in cover. You'll also need a healing item to restore your health when you're finishing a fight or retreating from one. Check out Rush's video below ing this loadout.

Using your Stim Shot is not a good idea if you're unsure you will win the firefight. This is more of a second-chance type of item, where you can heal yourself and escape or heal yourself and get those last shots in. It's very tempting to waste your Sticky Grenades, and that's what they're made for. Sticky Grenades are so helpful in combat, and you shouldn't need to try and hold onto them; use them as needed in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
