The return of Verdansk to Call of Duty: Warzone has also brought back some of the game's most iconic weapons with the Season 3 update, including a new Sniper Rifle that is now the strongest weapon in the game. Snipers aren't what they used to be in Warzone, where most of them could one-shot-kill an enemy over hundreds of meters. Since Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was integrated with Warzone, most players opt to use an assault rifle for those long-range encounters.

The latest Sniper Rifle added to Warzone and Black Ops 6 is the HDR, a colossal weapon using 12.7×108mm ammunition that was a menace in Modern Warfare 2019. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the same one-shot potential it used to, but because other Snipers still haven't been buffed, the HDR is the most potent long-range option in the game. Use These Attachments To Make The HDR More Powerful

The HDR can one-shot-kill in Warzone with a headshot. Its maximum damage is 360 to the head, which is enough against a fully armored opponent, and then it drops to 207 to the upper body and limbs, then 180 damage to the lower body. We can't improve that damage, but we can get extremely high bullet velocity to reduce the amount you need to lead your shots or for bullet drop, so your chances of landing that crucial headshot are better.

Barrel	Gain-Twist Barrel	Increasing Bullet Velocity is the main objective for a Sniper Rifle loadout, as the damage range is large enough that we don't need to try and improve it. The Gain-Twist barrel gives the biggest boost to a weapon's Bullet Velocity with no downsides, so it's the best choice for the HDR.
Underbarrel	Lightweight Bipod	There is a lot of idle sway when aiming down sight with the HDR. The lightweight bipod reduces the sway a lot, making it easier to keep your aim steady.
Stock	Combat Stock	The combat stock is the best stock Attachment for the Snipers. It gives you a lot of flinch resistance, which is crucial when trying to shoot an enemy that's shooting back, and also gives some much-needed boosts to the HDR's handling stats.
Fire Mod	108MM Overpressured	This Fire Mod attachment pairs with the Gain-Twist Barrel and Monolithic Suppressor, giving the HDR even more bullet velocity, making it feel like a hit-scan weapon in a lot of situations.

With this combination of attachments, the HDR ends up with a staggering bullet velocity of 1207.5 m/s. That means within the HDR's effective damage range of 97.8 meters, your shot will go exactly where it's aimed — no need to for bullet drop or a moving target.

Weapons And Equipment You Should Pair With The HDR

When you're using a big, bulky sniper rifle in Warzone, you need a backup weapon that works well in close and medium-range gunfights. One of the best weapons for that is Black Ops 6's GPR 91. This assault rifle has excellent base handling stats, including high sprint speeds and fast aim-down sight times, which are useful when enemies are pushing your position. You can also use the new CR-56 in a similar role. The attachments I've gone for here make those handling stats better, reduce the gun's high vertical recoil, and improve the magazine size to 60.
