Players have the opportunity to experience Call of Duty: WWII all over again now that it is one of PlayStation Plus' free games. Players will be able to travel back in time to WWII and fight through several important battles from the war in the game's campaign. Multiplayer is also fun and takes Call of Duty back to its roots and ditches the more futuristic weaponry of more recent titles. One of the most fun aspects of this game though is the inclusion of Nazi Zombies.
The Zombies mode is a lot of fun either alone or with friends. Unlike the other game modes it does present an intense level of challenge for those involved. The player will die despite their best efforts and that can be very frustrating. This guide will give players some tips to help them survive in the zombies mode.
Call of Duty: WWII- Know When to Upgrade Guns
Players will start the zombies mode with only a pistol. This weapon is capable of doing a little bit of damage early on, but after a few rounds it will become practically useless against the hordes of zombies. This means that players should invest in other guns and upgrade them as often as possible. As time goes on players will find that just buying new weapons doesn't quite cut it against the zombies. Players will need to go to a nearby Pack-A-Punch in order to boost their weapons effectively.
Call of Duty: WWII- Don't Kill all the Zombies
As the game progresses there will be lots of stronger and faster zombies that will be added to waves. This can make progressing through the map much more difficult in the later stages. The best way to avoid this is by killing every single zombie in a round except for one or two. This means that players will be able to explore without worrying about getting swarmed, and the next round won't start until that zombie is killed. Players should use this to their advantage.
Call of Duty: WWII- Have a Planned Path
The best way to get killed quickly is by the player not knowing where they are going next. They should decide which paths to go down beforehand, and which rounds the group should try for specific things. The thing to keep in mind here is that every wave gets more difficult than the last, so if the players should decide what things should be prioritized early on. It should be ed that things that aren't taken care of early on, will be harder to do as the game goes on.
Call of Duty: WWII- Play With Friends
Zombies can be played in single-player, but its a lot more fun and easier with friends. The more people in a game, then the more people to watch each other's backs and collect money for upgrades and progression. Additionally, players can make sure their team has a mixed balance of classes and abilities as well. This ensures that the team is more well rounded and prepared for the fight ahead of them.
Call of Duty: WWII- Set up a Zombie Train
One of the most difficult aspects of playing the zombies mode is that it is very easy to get surrounded and attacked from all sides by the horde. A player may decide the best course of action is to post up in a corner, but this isn't a very smart idea. Players will always want to have a plan of escape in case they get overwhelmed. A way to avoid this is to draw the attention of the horde and create a "zombie train". This where all the zombies are in a line following the player. This allows the player to know where they are at all times, and they can move around the environment without worrying about being surrounded.
Call of Duty: WWII- Use Power-ups Effectively
Power-ups can be a great way to turn the tides of a round, but players should make sure to use them correctly. Here are the different power-ups that players will obtain and how they should use them appropriately:
Elekromagnet- This power-up will double the amount of of jolts acquired for 30 seconds after it is picked up. Players should wait to pick this up until they find a large group of zombies that they are able to kill reliably. Using it when there is nothing to kill is a waste.
Totengriff- This will give players the ability to kill zombies with one hit. If fighting against normal zombies, this is the perfect time to switch to a sidearm or use the knife rather than wasting ammo on the player's main weapon.
Taschen Voll- This will give players max ammo for all the weapons in their possession. Before picking this up, players should try and kill as many enemies as they can to maximize the effect of gaining more ammo.
Uberladen- Upon using this power-up, players gain a full special ability bar. Players should use their special ability before picking it up, in order to be able to use the ability again in quick succession.
Vernichten- This will eliminate every zombie in the area, so try to use this ability at the very beginning of a round or wait until there are a lot of zombies on screen.
Call of Duty: WWII is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
