Although some of Capcom's new titles, such as Street Fighter 6 and the Resident Evil 4 remake, had already been featured in previous Not-E3 presentations, twitchgaming channel and Capcom official channels, the showcase featured new announcements, updates, and gameplay trailers.

Even though all of the announcements were for previously released or announced games, there was plenty of new footage and updates for fans to be excited for. This includes new gameplay footage for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, Exoprimal, and more.

Resident Evil 2, 3, And 7 Rereleased For Next Gen Consoles

During the presentation, Capcom announced that Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 are now available on the next generation of consoles. These rereleases include various improvements such as for 4K, 3D audio, high frame rate, and ray tracing.

This new rerelease is available for PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. For players who had already purchased the game on PS4 and Xbox One, they can receive a free digital this next-gen experience.

More Details On Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium

Initially announced during the Summer Game Fest Kick-off EventCapcom Arcade 2nd Stadium is a compilation of classic arcade games and a sequel to the original 2021 Capcom Arcade Stadium. Coming out on July 22, this compilation will feature 32 classic arcade titles such as Saturday Night Slam Masters, Magic Sword, Black Tiger, and Eco Fighters.

Players can choose to either purchase a bundle that contains all of the games or just certain titles, and each of those games contains added features, such as the ability to rewind, in order to make the old experience more accessible. Also, when the base game is ed, all players will receive the 1984 arcade title SonSon for free.

Resident Evil Re:Verse Release Date Announced

After being delayed for over a year, Resident Evil Re:Verse finally has a new debut date of Oct. 28. Featuring iconic Resident Evil characters and locations, this multiplayer competitive PvP title has six-person deathmatch battles where players control both the heroes and bioweapons.

Although the game was supposed to be released as a free bonus for Resident Evil Village, the mixed-to-negative reception for the beta led to the game being delayed. Now, it seems the game will finally be released for fans at the same time as the other Resident Evil Village DLCs.

More Details On Street Fighter 6 Coming Soon

Street Fighter 6's open world will let the developers show, not tell the game's story.

After showcasing more information about Street Fighter 6 during the Sony State of Play and the Summer Game Fest Kick-off Event, Capcom featured a short new trailer during this presentation as well. The trailer once again promised that veteran fan-favorites Ryu and Chun-Li will be on the roster alongside newer characters Luke Sullivan, who was a DLC character for Street Fighter V, and Jaime, who is a completely new character.

For this latest installment of the popular fighting game franchise, it seems like there will be free-roaming sections along with the traditional fighting game battles. Though the trailer was short and didn't really show anything new, Capcom also promised that fans can look forward to another new announcement later this year.

Dragon's Dogma 10th Anniversary Celebrations

Inspired by older western RPGs, which were in turn often inspired by old D&D RPGsDragon's Dogma is a 2012 action hack and slash RPG that's set within the high fantasy world of Gransys. As a customized human protagonist known as the Arisen, the player must defeat the dragon Grigori, who is said to be the being that will destroy the world. But, the player slowly uncovers a deeper truth that exists behind the scenes.

Since the release of this critically acclaimed and underrated title, the series has had a Japan-only MMORPG Dragon's Dogma Online as well as a Netflix animated series. During the presentation, Dragon's Dogma director Hideaki Itsuno announced that there will be a video celebrating the game's 10th anniversary on June 16 at 6 p.m. EDT on the "Dragon's Dogma" and "CapcomUSA" YouTube channels.

Capcom Fighting Collection Releasing Later This Month

To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Street Fighter franchise, the Capcom Fighting Collection is set to release on June 24. This bundle includes ten arcade fighting classics such as Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition and Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors.

The compilation also includes the 1996 fantasy 2D fighting game Red Earth, which has never been ported outside of the arcades before. Along with an online mode and extra features, such as the ability to switch between Japanese and English versions for most titles, players can also access "The Museum," which contains concept art and other behind-the-scenes materials for the games.

New Footage And Updates On Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak

One of the best RPGs released last year was the action JRPG Monster Hunter Rise, which has the player take on the role of a hunter who must protect Kamura Village from monsters that have been sent into a frenzy by the Elder Dragon Ibushi and his mate Narwa. Now, more than a year after the debut of the original title, a massive paid expansion called Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is coming out on June 30.

Although owners of Monster Hunter Rise will need to buy this DLC, the expansion features a new adventure, new characters, new areas, and new monsters. Along with showing off some of the content for this and announcing a free demo, the Capcom Showcase also revealed that there will be continued free updates to the base game, which includes new monsters and areas, that will go into 2023.

New Footage And Updates On Exoprimal

Scheduled to release in 2023, Exoprimal is a science fiction team-based action FPS where humans are forced to fight dinosaurs in experiments conducted by an advanced AI known as Leviathan. While piloting various kinds of exosuits, players will need to complete objectives at different locations across Bikitoa Island, survive the challenges, and uncover the reasons behind Leviathan's actions.

During Capcom's showcase, Exoprimal's director Takuro Hiraoka presented plot elements, gameplay modes, and some of the exosuits. He also announced that players can now sign up to participate in a Closed Network Test and experience what they've been working on.

News On The Multiple Resident Evil Village DLCs

Since last June, fans have been eagerly awaiting for the DLCs promised for Resident Evil Village. During the Capcom presentation, the producer of Resident Evil Village, Tsuyoshi Kanda, announced the DLCs and revealed that they'll be released on Oct. 28 along with Resident Evil Re:Verse. The three DLCs are all part of the Winters' Expansion, and they will be included in the Resident Evil Village: Gold Edition.

One of the DLCs is "Shadows of Rose," which is an additional surreal third-person story campaign that centers around Ethan's daughter Rose. Now, as a grown-up protagonist, Rose enters the consciousness of the Megamycete in order to get rid of her terrifying powers. Another DLC features the return of the arcade-esque action game "The Mercenaries" with "Additional Orders," which includes new stages and new characters. Now, players can even play as Lady Dimitrescu and tower over hordes of enemies. The final DLC is the "Third Person Mode" which allows Resident Evil Village to be played from a third-person perspective.

New Footage And Updates On Resident Evil 4 Remake

After being announced during the 2022 Sony State of Play, fans are excited for the remake of Resident Evil 4, which is scheduled to release on March 24, 2023. Though that date is still fairly far away, Capcom teased more information about the title during the showcase.

Besides finally showing Leon's new character model and a bit of extra gameplay footage, the director Yasuhiro Anpo and the producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi also revealed that they have redesigned the main enemies in the game: the ganado. They also reassured fans that the title will still have a third-person perspective, which is important since Resident Evil 4 popularized the over-the-shoulder POV for the FPS genre.
