One of Netflix's best anime ever, Castlevania: Nocturne, wrapped its second season, and Nocturne's ending left a few loose ends for future seasons to explore while delivering a climactic finale for the big bads of Season 1 and Season 2 -- Drolta and Erzsebet. During the final confrontation between Erzsebet and the heroes -- Juste Belmont, Richter Belmont, and Maria Renard -- audiences see an epic team up between Richter and Juste multiple times, calling back to another dynamic grandfather/grandson duo in anime.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders is the third part of the wild anime series based on the manga of the same name by Hirohiko Araki. Technically, each season stands alone for the most part, but there's a connective thread throughout the series via the Joestar bloodline, as each season follows a new family member and the bizarre adventures they go on. In Stardust Crusaders, audiences are treated to two Joestars - grandpa Joseph and grandson Jotaro - and those who love Nocturne will want to give the Joestar family a shot.
Castlevania: Nocturne and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Have Similar Family Dynamics
Nocturne And Stardust Crusaders Both Feature Bad Ass Grandpas
In Castlevania: Nocturne Season 1, Richter meets his estranged grandfather, Juste, who helps him get back in touch with his magic again before ing his fight against the vampires for the rest of Season 2. While he takes on a more mentor/protector role for Maria, Richter and Juste have a fun dynamic themselves when they share the screen together, especially once they are in battle. This is a grandfather and grandson duo vampires do not want to mess with. It's like watching a magical WWE tag team match, and the Belmonts are not pulling any punches.

Netflix's Castlevania Is Ready to Tackle Season 3 With a Long-Awaited Story Arc
As Castlevania: Nocturne season 2 gets amazing reviews, the showrunners already know what arc they want to adapt next.
For a duo like this, fans need to look no further than JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders. In it, Jotaro teams up with his estranged grandfather, Joseph, to take on the vampire villain who has been obsessed with this family for generations, Dio, who has assembled a team of Stand-s to take on this family and their allies. Despite Dio's power, the Joestars are not to be messed with. Living up to the title of the series, Joseph and Jotaro have some bizarre combo moves, and it's when they work together that Stardust Crusaders is at its best, delivering humor, heart, and humongous beat downs.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Started Off As A Vampire Anime
Start JoJo's Bizarre Adventure From Phantom Blood
Going further back to the beginning of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, audiences see it has even more in common with Castlevania than just its iconic grandfather and grandson duo. While JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has evolved beyond its Gothic roots, the first season is about vampires through and through, and that stayed the case all the way up to the end of Stardust Crusaders; although, Dio would continue to haunt this family even after his defeat. While a wild series that embraces the fun of manga and anime, the first season has phenomenal supernatural elements, especially when it comes to Araki's version of vampires.
One can technically jump into any season of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, but it's highly recommended to start from the very beginning, especially for vampire fans. It may not feature Stands, but it still delivers magical lore and unique abilities while also introducing fans to the big bad of Stardust Crusaders, Dio. Plus, there is a stark contrast between the first JoJo, Johnathan, and the second, Joseph. Part of the fun of JoJo's is seeing how each family member stands on their own. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is exactly what the title says it is, and it's worth a watch while waiting for a hopeful Castlevania Season 3.
