Corsola is a region-exclusive Pokémon in Pokémon GO, which means it can only be found in certain parts of the world. Just like Tauros, Farfetch'd, Klefki, and various other rare creatures, catching a Corsola is going to be tricky for a large portion of Pokémon GO's playerbase. You'll either need to visit a specific location in the real world or trade with a friend who's already caught one.
Region-exclusive Pokémon have always existed in the mainline games, with many Pokémon only being able to be caught in certain generations or areas. In Pokémon GO, things become a bit more complicated, as their spawn locations are based on real-world locations, which means they're some of the rarest creatures in the game. So, get ready to pack your bags, as here's the location of Corsola in Pokémon GO.

Pokémon GO Shiny Odds (& Why Raids Are Best) Explained
Shiny odds in Pokémon GO work very differently compared to the rates in the mainline series. There are a few factors that make them so different.
Where To Find Corsola In Pokemon GO
In Corsola's lore, it is a living form of a coral reef, meaning this Pokémon will only spawn in tropical regions with naturally warm weather. While its exact spawn locations haven't been confirmed by developer Niantic or The Pokémon Company, researchers from The Silph Road subreddit have reported that Corsola only spawns between the latitudes of 31N and 26S in Pokémon GO.
Even if you visit one of these regions, it's not guaranteed that you'll encounter a Corsola. You can increase your chances by exploring areas rich in water, like beaches or lakes.
The countries and states highlighted in the map image above show where Pokémon GO players will have a chance to encounter Corsola. In the United States, players would be able to encounter one in Florida and the absolute bottom of Texas. Players can also encounter it in the northern region of Australia. Caribbean Islands like Puerto Rico also have the chance to encounter a Corsola.
If you're unable to visit the regions where Corsola spawns, the good news is that there are some very rare occasions where it will appear worldwide, usually during special events. For example, during the global Pokemon GO Fest 2024 event on July 13 and July 14, 2024, ticketholders will get a chance to encounter Corsola when using Incense during the Shining Day habitat hour.
Region-Exclusive Pokemon Explained
They're Some Of The Rarest Catches In The Game
Pokémon GO is full of regional exclusive Pokémon. For example, Tauros only spawn in the United States, while Farfetch'd can only be encountered in the most eastern parts of Asia, in Japan or South Korea. It's an interesting but frustrating feature for players who wish to complete their Pokedex, although it does add to their value. Capturing one of these Pokémon and using them for trading as leverage is an excellent idea.
It's worth pointing out that some region-exclusive Pokémon can be caught outside of their usual location restrictions. Kangaskhan is a good example: while it's usually only available in Australia, the debut of Mega Kangaskhan has given Trainers around the world a chance to catch one by defeating it in Mega Raids. Other region-exclusive creatures spawn worldwide during limited-time events. It's always worth keeping an eye out for them in Pokémon GO.
