It's rare that a manga franchise reaches absurd levels of popularity before receiving an accompanying anime adaptation, but land in U.S. theaters this October.
Before then, however, fans are likely to get a sneak peek at the series' return on July 3, as both the President and Vice President of MAPPA are planning to take the stage during the Chainsaw Man at Anime Expo in Los Angeles. The film isn't the only major project in the works at MAPPA, though given just how far off the likes of Jujutsu Kaisen Season Three seem to be, the powerhouse studio will likely turn all its focus onto Denji and Reze in the coming months.

MAPPA Will Begin Turning Its Focus Onto Chainsaw Man In the Coming Months
Chainsaw Man's first season came to its conclusion nearly three years ago, and after stealing the spotlight during its first go-round, the series' return has been heavily anticipated by the majority of the anime community. Luckily for fans, it's likely that a new trailer, alongside new information and potential news about a TV return, will be revealed at Anime Expo on July 3, 2025. The Reze Arc movie is the next biggest release on MAPPA's schedule, and marketing around its release is sure to heat up in the summer months.
To this point, two trailers for the film have been released, with the first being a short cryptic reveal of the movie's production, and the second being a more detailed look at the characters and key moments. MAPPA doesn't want to reveal too much about the movie, but seeing as the last trailer was shared back in December, it's about time for the studio to give another sneak peek at what's in store. Whatever it is they intend to reveal at Anime Expo, fans can expect something big, as Presidents of major studios don't often appear for nothing.

Aside from concerns about its visual style or use of CGI, many felt the series just didn't offer quite enough in its initial 12-episode run. Fortunately, those viewers can put such concerns aside with the Reze Arc film set to premiere in October. Fans of the original manga are likely to express that Chainsaw Man truly hits its stride when Reze appears, incorporating drama, romance, and over-the-top action into the mix while letting the audience in on some of its major overarching themes.
