After 12 seasons competing on The Challenge, Leroy Garrett made his show exit with zero wins under his belt. The show veteran was always considered fierce competition on the show. However, he was never able to turn that into a victory in the finals. After competing in Double Agents, Leroy announced his decision to leave the show.
Like many others on the MTV competition reality show, Leroy got his start on The Real World: Las Vegas in 2011. His stature and standout personality made him a perfect candidate to the gritty in-your-face cast on The Challenge. Over the years, Leroy has competed as a finalist in Rivals, Battle of the Exes II, Vendettas, War of the Worlds 2, and Double Agents. Despite making it to the finals five times, Leroy has never crossed the finish line first. Between Chris "CT" Tamburello, Johnny "Bananas" Devananzio, and a few others, Leroy has always had the title snatched right from under him. Ahead of his fifth finals run, Leroy had already made the tough decision to exit the show and focus on his personal growth.
Last week, Leroy shared a lengthy caption in commemoration of his 10-year anniversary of making his MTV debut. "Such a bitter sweet moment tonight. 10yrs ago I walked in your lives on the Real world Las Vegas. And it was hands down one of the best experiences of my life," he captioned a photo of the show's promo poster. He went on to recall his future with MTV after making his inception on The Real World. "I was giving an opportunity to compete on the challenge. These past years were filled with so many ups & down while filming," he itted. "With memories I’ll never take for granted. It’s been beyond a blessing to travel across the world. To Places people dream of, so to my Father God I say thank you."
After thanking his fans for all the love and they've shown him over the years, Leroy summed up his Challenge record. "12 seasons.. zero wins for my challenge record," he said. "I’ve come to with that, and I no longer carry that weight on my conscious. I’m alive and well and I did what I was sent to do, Learn, Change, Grow. That’s the only win I need," he added. He made sure to thank MTV for taking him along for the ride. Aside from his walking away with no show wins, he did meet the love of his life, Kam Williams.
Viewers of The Challenge got the see the ups and downs of their relationship. Cameras captured a few of their breakups and makeups before they returned to Double Agents a solid union ready to make it to the finals. They competed in the finals on opposite teams and despite Leroy's loss, Kam came in second place with Cory Wharton and got to split $100,000. We're sure Kam and Leroy made good use of the extra $50k.
