Chicago Fire season 12, before progressing to a main character role in season 13. One of the best developments from her character is her growing relationship with fellow Ambulance 61 and Firehouse 51 paramedic Violet Mikami. Hudon has spoken positively about her hopes for Novak's Chicago Fire future.
Per TV Insider, Hudon weighed in on her character's season 13 journey, as well as her hopes for Novak's place in the show in season 14 and onward. She confirmed that she is happy with Novak's current place in the show and with her fun relationship dynamic with her friend and colleague, Violet. Hudon revealed she hopes her character can remain a prominent part of Firehouse 51, amid the shakeups set to come. Check out Hudon's comments below:
Yeah, because Novak and Violet have become great paramedic partners. What makes them work so well together?
They trust each other. They have such a strong bond. I think they complement each other really well. Violet has a lot of responsibility. She’s very serious, she’s very driven and focused and professional. And Novak is as well, but she just kind of lightens her up. She’s a friend for her to lean on, and she just s Violet as much as she can. I think Violet can recognize that and appreciate that. So they formed a really strong bond, which makes for a great duo.
Firehouse 51 is poised to go through quite a few shakeups. There’s a question still of how Ritter (Daniel Kyri) and Carver (Jake Lockett) will be written out. Herrmann (David Eigenberg) stepped back, so Mouch (Christian Stolte) can be lieutenant of engine. Pascal (Dermot Mulroney) is seemingly staying. The auditor warned of changes…
I think Novak’s saying right where she is, at least I hope so. I love exactly where she is. She’s just part of it. She’s very hands-on with all the ambulance calls. I think she just fits in and I don’t think she has any changes coming up.
What Novak's Wanting To Stay Means For Chicago Fire Season 14
Novak & Violet Could Become A Fan-Favorite Pair
There is no doubt that Chicago Fire season 14 is going to see some big changes for the show, including the departure and replacement of several characters. However, Hudon's comments reveal she is hopeful Novak will stick around and that her character has done enough with viewers to warrant a long-term position at Firehouse 51. Her partnership with Violet has been one of the most fun and enjoyable to watch, and Hudon's on-screen chemistry with Hanako Greensmith adds depth to their friendship.
Novak has been a breath of fresh air for Firehouse 51, and her playful personality often provides much-needed levity amid weighty emotional events.
Hudon seems like she is committed to taking Novak's character to fresh and exciting places in season 14, and the possibility of crossover appearances in other One Chicago shows shouldn't be ruled out. The multishow storytelling that returned in season 13 opens up new possibilities for the future, and, with Novak's mischievous humor and free-spirited personality, she would be a good fit for crossover appearances.
