Spoiler alert: The following article contains spoilers from the Chicago Med season 10 finale, "...Don't You Cry."
The Chicago Med characters are an unlikely pair, which is why many fans are rooting for them to be together. But it's also why Hannah and Archer's possible romance has been more of a slow burn and hasn't happened yet. That could all change after the events of season 10's last episode, though.
Chicago Med returns with season 11 in the fall of 2025, airing new episodes during its normal timeslot — Wednesdays at 8 pm ET on NBC (per NBC Insider).
Hannah learned she was pregnant one episode before the Chicago Med season 10 finale. The news came as a surprise to everyone, even Hannah herself. Many assumed that the father of her unborn baby was Mitch Ripley, her ex-boyfriend. There was also the slightest chance that it could be someone else, someone she had been close to for years — Archer. Thankfully, the audience (somewhat) gets answers by the time Chicago Med season 10, episode 22, concludes.
The Chicago Med Season 10 Finale Hints That Archer May Be Hannah's Baby's Daddy
Hannah & Archer Might Have Hooked Up
During the Chicago Med season 10 finale's closing moments, Hannah bounds up to a house door and knocks on it. The episode cuts to Ripley running down his stairs, making viewers believe that Hannah has come to tell Ripley that she's having his baby. However, when Ripley opens his door, it's not Hannah on the other side; it's Sadie (the woman he helped rescue from the well in Chicago Med season 10, episode 15). Meanwhile, the door Hannah is standing in front of is Archer's. He opens it, and she tells him, "We need to talk." Unfortunately, the episode ends there.

Obviously, the last scene is meant to make viewers think that Archer is the father of Hannah's baby. The Chicago Med season 10 finale ends before Hannah can say so. All signs still point towards Hannah having Archer's baby, though, which is quite a surprise, given that the audience never saw them hook up. Of course, this could be a misdirect, and the season 11 premiere will reveal that Archer isn't the father, but until then, we'll just have to assume that he is.
Hannah & Archer Getting Intimate After His Ex-Wife Died Is An Uncomfortable Possibility
The Possible Hook-Up Happened During A Time Of Grief
The only instance that could have resulted in Hannah and Archer having sex (that viewers are aware of, anyway) came in Chicago Med season 10, episode 17. Archer had just learned that his ex-wife had died, and Hannah wanted to be there for him. So, she showed up at his house at the end of the episode with dinner to comfort him, and as far as we knew, that was the end of that. Perhaps one thing led to another, though, and Hannah and Archer hooked up.

Believe It Or Not, Chicago PD Ruins Ripley's Emotional Chicago Med Season 10 Story (But Blame The Writers)
Unfortunately, a moment in a Chicago PD episode from one year ago weakens Ripley’s emotional story in Chicago Med season 10, episode 15.
While many have been waiting for Hannah and Archer to take their friendship to the next level, this development happening when Archer is grieving isn't ideal. In fact, it taints their relationship. Archer was in a vulnerable state, and he and Hannah having sex could've been a way to comfort him, not an act of love.
If Archer is the father of Hannah's baby, their lives are about to get a lot more difficult in Chicago Med season 11.
The Chicago Med season 10 character wasn't in the best headspace. So, the idea of him and Hannah sleeping together that night doesn't sit well with me. It was only supposed to be a friendly visit from Hannah. Instead, it might have resulted in a mistake that is going to change their lives forever.
What Archer Possibly Being Hannah's Baby Daddy Means For Their Future In Chicago Med
Hannah & Archer's Relationship Would Never Be The Same
If Archer is the father of Hannah's baby, their lives are about to get a lot more difficult in Chicago Med season 11. They have never itted that they had feelings for one another. However, with a baby on the way, Hannah and Archer wouldn't be able to avoid the tension between them. Fans would finally get answers concerning a possible Hannah and Archer romance. Ultimately, this might all be for naught, as Chicago Med could easily turn things around in season 11 and reveal that Archer isn't the father (meaning Ripley likely is, which brings its own complications).
