A lot of Nolan’s movies are about a hero’s journey home. In Inception, Cobb goes through dreams within dreams. In Interstellar, Cooper goes through a black hole. The Odyssey will offer even wilder sequences. Over the course of his incredible journey home, Odysseus encounters the whirlpool Charybdis, the witch-goddess Circe, the one-eyed giant Cyclops, and the six-headed monster Scylla.
