With Sid Meier's Civilization 7 releasing soon, most of the leaders who will be available at launch have been announced, and fans are eager for the game to arrive. As was the case in previous games in the series, there will be numerous more leaders added to the game in the future, but there are already 20 to be included at the launch on February 11, 2025. New to Civilization 7 is the feature that any leader will now be able to be used for any civilization chosen, and although the civilizations will change across Ages, the leader remains.
In Screen Rant's preview of Civ 7, it was found that by giving players the option to mix and match leaders with different civilizations across the three Ages in the game, there is a much broader range of customization in the societies. This could mean that players will want to better understand the leaders in this game in order to see how their bonuses and agendas will line up with a civilization. Particularly as the leaders themselves will level up and unlock different bonuses over time as well, adding to an immersive feeling of progression.

Although leaders can be used for any civilization, many still feel that there is a problem with leaders currently not being as diverse, culturally, as they could be, which is something that will likely be addressed with future leaders added to the game. The leaders in Civilization games are based on historical figures from the real world, and can provide educational opportunities for players to learn more about these cultures and people. Of course, the historical, geographical, or even strategic actions of the leaders in this game are not historically accurate, particularly when a leader can be over any civilization.
Civ 7 Leader Highlights
Players Will Enjoy Finding The Ones To Fit Their Style
Civilization 7 has several different ways to achieve victory. Some players will likely want to follow a Military Legacy Path to get a Military Victory, while others might prefer to focus on Culture or Science. The way that a person enjoys playing the strategy simulation game will determine which leaders they may enjoy gravitating towards.

Civ 7's Score Victory Is Based On A New Core Gameplay Feature
Civilization 7's Score Victory is based on Legacy Points instead of Civilization 6's system, and will require completing specific objectives.
For example, if a player wants to aim for an Economic Victory, they might want to play as Amina due to her benefits of having increased Resource Capacity in Cities combined with additional Gold per Age for each Resource assigned to a City. Alternatively, Trung Trac could be a good option for players wanting to work on a Military Victory with her ability to gain free Promotions and bonuses for Commanders and her Militaristic and Scientific attributes.
Ultimately, players will want to try out the variety of leaders to find what works best with the strategies they want to incorporate, and how the leaders will match up with chosen civilizations. Each certainly offers strengths in their own ways, and the different combinations will make every game of Civilization 7 unique.
