Warning! Spoilers ahead for Strange #3.

It's typically known that Marvel's magic s fight other magic s, but the universe's new Sorcerer Supreme, Clea, is about to face off against a very different kind of foe.

This saga began with the miniseries, The Death of Doctor Strange. After Earth's Sorcerer Supreme died, a time displaced version of him arrived to solve his own murder. Strange’s wife, Clea, arrived to assist in the investigation. After the mystery was solved and the threat had ed, Clea, who is also the Sorcerer Supreme of the Dark Dimension, took over for her husband and became the Sorcerer Supreme for Earth as well, much to the dismay of many hoping to claim the title for their own.

As the Sorcerer Supreme, Clea has made it her job to try to resurrect her dead husband, but she's getting sidetracked by a gang called the Blasphemy Cartel that is going after magical refugees. In Strange #3, which is written by Jed MacKay and illustrated by Marcelo Ferreira, Clea visits the mob boss known as the Rose in order to gain more information about the cartel. After Clea threatens him, the Rose gives up some information about the cartel. But in actuality, the Rose warned the cartel, who set up a trap for the Sorcerer Supreme.

Clea and the Rose talk.

After facing threat after threat, Clea is losing her cool and getting fed up with all these foes. So it's only a matter of time before she goes after the Rose for revenge. As the Sorcerer Supreme of not just one world but two, Clea is incredibly powerful, as displayed when she took care of the Rose's goons. But the Rose is also a kind of foe that she is not used to facing. He may have tricks up his sleeve that she won't be expecting. In which case, she may get cocky and get caught off guard.

To make matters worse, the Rose has actually been dead for quite some time. Being the Kingpin's son, he was recently resurrected and went back into the family business. Since Clea is facing many different obstacles trying to get Stephen Strange brought back to life, she might be resentful and frustrated that she is being manipulated by someone who just escaped death himself. She has her hands full so she may not go after him right away, but it's only a matter of time before Clea as the Sorcerer Supreme takes on the criminal underworld.
