Netflix's Cobra Kai needs to end in season 6, and the best possible finale to the series is Johnny Lawrence mastering Miyagi-Do and using it to put an end to John Kreese and Cobra Kai once and for all. The only way that Johnny can possibly win against Kreese - the first and true master of Cobra Kai - is by also mastering Miyagi-Do, which is the only style that has consistently proven itself effective against Kreese's techniques. While Cobra Kai is about raw aggression and maintaining a victorious mindset, Miyagi-Do is about balance and patience - combined, these styles can make Johnny a far more capable combatant than even Kreese. With the Cobra Kai season 5 ending setting up what could be the show's final storyline, Johnny and Kreese's season 6 showdown is inevitable.
Cobra Kai has already laid the foundations for this epic finale through Johnny's stellar character development throughout the show. While it was Johnny who unleashed Kreese on the valley back in Cobra Kai season 2, Johnny has since transformed into a much more responsible father and better sensei for the valley's kids. Johnny has also patched things up with his former karate rival Daniel LaRusso, who has come to regard Johnny as a peer. Johnny even insisted on carrying the name of Miyagi-Do when his and Daniel's students qualified for Sekai Taikai, the world's most prestigious karate tournament. Moreover, even though Johnny created his own dojo in Eagle Fang, Johnny has not only begun training in Miyagi-Do under Daniel, but has also exhibited a deep knowledge of Miyagi-Do history.
With the Cobra Kai season 5 finale teasing the return of John Kreese, all signs point not just to Johnny and Kreese's final confrontation, but also at Johnny becoming a master of Miyagi-Do through Daniel and Chozen's tutelage. While Johnny, Daniel, and Chozen have defeated Terry Silver and seemed to have also succeeded in kicking Cobra Kai out of the valley, Kreese's escape from prison means that their work is far from over. That said, although the rivalry between Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai has forever changed every karate student, master, and dojo in the valley, the Johnny vs. Kreese fight needs to happen one on one.
Will Johnny Vs Kreese Be Cobra Kai's Final Epic Fight?
Not much is known about the exact plot of Cobra Kai season 6 or whether it will be the last season - but it's likely that the Johnny vs. Kreese fight will be the series' last and most epic one-on-one bout. After how Daniel defeated Terry Silver to redeem himself after 35 years and finally expose Cobra Kai's true nature, Johnny needs to do the same to Kreese in order to land the lethal blow against Cobra Kai karate. As it was Johnny who started Cobra Kai in the valley in the first place, it's his responsibility to cut off the head of the snake - there is no bigger fight in Cobra Kai's future than Johnny vs. Kreese, and there is no better way to end their respective stories.
As Cobra Kai season 5 showed, Kreese is much more dangerous and capable than initially revealed - but Johnny has also started training in Miyagi-Do's defensive techniques. Though Kreese will undoubtedly play dirty to get the upper hand in this inevitable showdown, Johnny is bound to be a much more complete martial artist than Kreese in Cobra Kai season 6, especially since Johnny and Daniel will be training their students for Sekai Taikai and preparing for Kreese's return. Only time will tell if Johnny will be able to master Miyagi-Do's secrets faster than John Kreese can plan and launch a surprise attack.
