However, the end of Cobra Kai won’t be the end of the franchise, with the Karate Kid: Legends seeing Ralph Macchio reprise his role as Daniel LaRusso once more. While it doesn’t seem like the Netflix series will be leading into the theatrical film, the events that unfold could be mentioned in the movie. However, with the outcome of Sekai Taikai still unclear, there’s plenty of major events that could change the course of the series. Perhaps they’ll even set up Daniel’s new role without directly leading into the film.

Season 6 part 1 was released on July 18, 2024, while part 2 came out on November 15, 2024, just four months later. This means the wait time between parts 2 and 3 will be even shorter by one month, but lining up with how spaced out the previous parts’ releases were. It also means there will be just a three-month gap between when the series ends, and when the next chapter in the Karate Kid franchise begins. With plenty of possibilities for Cobra Kai's final episodes, it won’t be too much longer until the last challenge truly begins.
