Warning! This article contains spoilers for Cobra Kai season 6, part 3.

Cobra Kai season 6 part 2's ending, the shocking death of Kwon threw the tournament's conclusion into doubt, but part 3 quickly sees the various sensei agree to finish the event in the safety of the Valley.

In Cobra Kai season 6, part 3, the tournament finally comes to its epic conclusion. Not only are the Cobra Kai's Sekai Taikai teams and their sensei do battle, the true winners of the tournament are crowned in the final few episodes of the show, bringing the entire story of the Karate Kid spin-off full circle to its satisfying conclusion.

Tory Nichols Beat Zara Malik And Became The Girls' Division’s Champion

The First Champion Is Crowned

In Cobra Kai season 6, part 3, the winner of the girls' division of the Sekai Taikai is crowned: Tory Nichols. Initially, a fight is set up between Sam and Tory, but the former makes the mature decision to step aside as she no longer has anything to fight for. This perfectly establishes a final throwdown between Tory and her primary Cobra Kai season 6 rival, Zara, leading to a thrilling contest between the two. The fight is fueled by the teen drama established in Cobra Kai season 6, part 2, with Zara initially proving better than Tory.

Zara Malik Is A Standout In Cobra Kai Season 6

Cobra Kai season 6 part 2 introduces Zara Malik of the Iron Dragons, played by Rayna Vallandingham, and she is one to watch.

However, after Robby's show of faith in Tory, she rallies and eventually begins to overpower Zara. After building up points with hits, Tory eventually channels her years of fighting and hits her opponent, knocking out both her tooth and Zara herself. This renders Tory the Sekai Taikai girls' champion, giving her an emotionally charged, rewarding end to her arc. After Tory's fight, Cobra Kai is left 10 points adrift of the Iron Dragons' total, leading to Miguel's fight against Axel.

Miguel Diaz Beat Axel Kovacevic And Became The Boys' Division’s Champion

The Second Champion Makes Himself Known

The second final of Cobra Kai season 6, part 3's penultimate episode belongs to Miguel Diaz, facing off against the threatening Axel of the Iron Dragons. Unlike the fight between Tory and Zara, the Iron Dragons begin the fight on the back foot, with Miguel's status as Cobra Kai's true Karate Kid shining through as he gets five points against Axel's zero. However, Axel's abusive sensei pushes him into being more ruthless, leading the Iron Dragons' fighter to gain the upper hand in the second round.

Miguel and Tory fight for Cobra Kai after Johnny Lawrence reclaims the titular dojo from John Kreese, turning it into what it would have been rather than what the latter warped it into.

After a pep talk by Johnny, Cobra Kai season 6, part 3 intercuts Miguel's fight with the many trials and tribulations he has suffered over the years. Eventually, these moments - as well as Axel's unwillingness to injure Miguel's spine again and win unfairly - see him come out on top. Miguel defeats Axel and is crowned the male champion of the Sekai Taikai and Cobra Kai, standing tall with Tory. Interestingly, though, this did not prove to be the end of Cobra Kai season 6, part 3, with another twist introduced.

Cobra Kai And The Iron Dragons Made The Same Amount Of Points At The End

The Sekai Tekai Ends In An Unprecedented Way

The final Sekai Taikai scores in Cobra Kai season 6, part 3 (2025)

As alluded to, Miguel and Tory decide to fight for Cobra Kai under Johnny, Daniel, and Chozen as a way of reclaiming the dojo and presenting what it should stand for. However, there was another reason behind this decision. With Sam dropping out of the Sekai Taikai, neither Cobra Kai - via Tory - nor Miyagi-do - via Robby or Miguel - could earn enough points to defeat Terry Silver's Iron Dragons. That said, if both fought for Cobra Kai and won, they stood a chance of overcoming the Iron Dragons' point total and defeating Terry Silver once and for all.

Both dojos finished the finals with 180 points, leading to a tiebreaker being announced...

Miguel and Tory beating Axel and Zara respectively all but guaranteed the Sekai Taikai win for Cobra Kai, but this proved not to be the case. In what is described as an unprecedented outcome for the Sekai Taikai, Cobra Kai and the Iron Dragons ended with the same number of points. Both dojos finished the finals with 180 points, leading to a tiebreaker being announced. This tiebreaker allowed for Cobra Kai season 6's final episode to take place, which recentered the story around who is arguably the show's main character.

Johnny Lawrence Beat Sensei Wolf And Gave Cobra Kai The Sekai Taikai Title

Johnny Reclaimed Cobra Kai & Dethroned The Iron Dragons

The tiebreaker in question was that one final karate match would be held in order to grant either Cobra Kai or the Iron Dragons the winners of the Sekai Taikai. Rather than picking an individual student to fight, though, it would occur between each dojo's sensei. This meant that Johnny Lawrence would have to face off against Sensei Wolf, which is depicted in the climactic final episode of Cobra Kai season 6, part 3. Firstly, Johnny is trained by Daniel in classic Karate Kid fashion, bringing the franchise full circle.

Upon the day of the final fight between Wolf and Johnny, the latter is shown to be increasingly agitated. Johnny's fear of becoming a loser, both on the mat and in life, resurfaces, with Cobra Kai's main character fearing that everything he has gained will be lost if he loses to Wolf. This causes Johnny to begin the fight poorly, with Daniel noting that it is the first time he has ever seen Johnny be afraid. Eventually, Daniel leans into Cobra Kai's methods and pumps Johnny up, leading into the final moments of the fight.

Johnny centers himself, using a combination of Cobra Kai's attitude with Miyagi-do's defensive abilities. The hotheaded Sensei Wolf begins charging headlong into Johnny's attacks, allowing the latter to bridge the gap between them. Johnny endures one last assault before sweeping the leg of Sensei Wolf, winning the fight and the tournament for Cobra Kai. After the many individual battles of its previous seasons, Cobra Kai season 6, part 3 aptly places Johnny Lawrence as the true champion of the Sekai Taikai, alongside two original of his dojo: Miguel Diaz and Tory Nichols.
