Players discovered Call of Duty: Warzone’s Season 6 brings a sizable amount of content to the battle royale game, including a ravaged Verdansk, new weapons, operators, and cosmetic bundles. The new season kicked off on October 7 with seismic charges transforming the face of the battle royale map, "exposing" WW2 bunkers tying into Warzone’s approaching integration with Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Developer Raven Software recently confirmed Warzone Season Six will culminate in Verdansk's removal, a change planned to take place by the end of 2021. Sometime after Call of Duty: Vanguard releases on November 5, WW2 weapons and attachments will be added to Warzone. Verdansk will similarly be swapped out for a new WW2-themed Pacific map in Warzone, which features entirely new POIs and a lush island to explored. Along with Season Six came plenty of new bugs, as well as one mistake allowing players to preview new weapons from Vanguard.

Call of Duty YouTuber JGOD says he was able to equip and use a Call of Duty: Vanguard StG 44 using a simple trick in Warzone, providing video evidence on Twitter (via weapons were from Call of Duty: Vanguard, but the items couldn’t be equipped in loadouts. ModernWarzone reports the also glitch showed that the weapons have 10 attachments in total, appearing to confirm the suspected figure for Vanguard's Gunsmith. The guns should be available after Call of Duty: Vanguard launches, though the exact date of its Warzone integration is unknown.

The mistake gave an advance look at new guns coming to Call of Duty: Warzone, but players now seem unable to repeat JGOD's and other players' success in finding and using the unreleased weapons. The battle royale is known for its glitches, so it isn't a particular surprise that the StG 44 and M1 Garand fell through the cracks alongside other Call of Duty Season Six update bugs.

Warzone’s Season Six looks like a climactic conclusion for Verdansk and the battle royale's second year. The way seems paved for the Warzone’s integration with Call of Duty: Vanguard, and the apparent working readiness of a couple of the new game's guns may be a reassuring sign - even if the weapons weren’t supposed to appear quite so early.
