Community has six seasons of hilarity amongst its dynamic, unique, and quirky characters. They're all vastly different, but somehow, the study group is bursting with some pretty strong and genuine friendships. From making their own fake morning shows to having some nice scotch, there are some duos that stick out amongst the rest.
Not everybody can get along all the time, but this group is there for each other when it really counts - and some definitely are more than others. So, it's time to celebrate the most wholesome, funny, and totally pure friendships from this show.
Pierce & Jeff
Despite him not getting any love from the group (or the fans), most people would agree the best friendship he had was probably the one between him and Jeff. They are open with each other, and somehow don't manipulate the other as often as they do the others.
They can drink scotch and connect in ways that the rest of the group just can't. There were even a few occasions where Pierce was like a father to Jeff. Who knew the millionaire was capable of offering some sage advice?
Britta & Annie
These two definitely find themselves at odds, and they actually couldn't be more different. However, these two are both strong, independent women, and they will each other to be the best version of themselves through thick and thin.
Honestly, their biggest downfall is probably just that they're jealous of each other. Yet when they find confidence in themselves, these two are some powerful gals that could take on the world together.
Shirley & Annie
These two are the greatest rivals and also the greatest ers. They are actually eerily similar: they are both smart, kind, selfless, competitive, and definitely act as the 'mom' of the group. Although there is an age gap between them, the two women don't allow this to stop them from bonding.
They like to go to the bathroom together as well as the movies, They even visit each other's houses regularly. However, what is most important is that despite disagreeing with one another's choices, they still each other no matter what.
Jeff & Abed
Jeff might be the hardest on Abed out of all the study , but somehow he is also the one that helps Abed in ways that no one else does. They have a weird friendship, but they are always there for each other at the end of the day.
This friendship has also benefitted the characters in several ways. While Jeff's blunt nature has helped to ground Abed, the film fanatic has also helped him become less uptight. Fans will never forget that it was Abed who offered his Jeff while he was getting back on his feet, Their friendship totally fun and pure.
Troy & Annie
These two knew each other in high school when they used to hang out in different crowds. However, one could say these two have a bond that no one else could have because of this. They ended up learning how to respect and one another - even if it went against everything they wanted.
They really have no bad blood, and they always managed to get in (and out of) sticky situations together. They were adorable as friends, and are actually the only two in the group that could bond over being a young adult in college. Some of their best moments on the show are when they were together.
Britta & Jeff
These two simultaneously had a super toxic but strong friendship. Although they bicker most of the time, fans have become convinced that this is their way of showing how much they care about the other.
They certainly don't see eye-to-eye, on practically anything, but when push comes to shove - they are always there to help. Plus, they bring out some pretty great qualities in each other, even if neither of them would ever it it.
Annie & Jeff
The whole relationship between these two can be a bit cringe-worthy, but if fans were to put their weird romance aside, they would see how much these two care for one another. For instance, Annie shows Jeff comion and kindness. In return, Jeff s Annie in her every endeavor - and doesn't let her get walked on.
These two would drop everything to help one another, and this makes this them one of the best duos on the show. They care so deeply about each other that it can get a bit awkward - but they are great as friends.
Jeff & Shirley
These two have the most 'hidden' friendship on the series, but it's still one of the best the show has to offer. These two connect in very odd ways, but it's powerful. Plus, they actually go way back, and somehow have had a huge hand in each other's lives.
While Shirley teaches Jeff how to be selfless and kind, Jeff returns the favor by teaching Shirley how to be confident. These two are somehow totally cool together, and actually, bring out some really great qualities in each other.
Annie & Abed
When Troy isn't around to understand Abed, Annie does a pretty stellar job (even in his darkest moments). These two also understand each other on a level that most of the others in the study group just can't. Abed is surprisingly intuitive about how Annie feels, and Annie gets Abed, too.
They can even survive the 'dreamatorium' together. These two are a wholesome and unique pairing that has all fans just wanting to hug them both. They are definitely one of the best platonic friendships to exist on TV.
Troy & Abed
There's no friendship on this show, or maybe in any sitcom, as pure and strong as Troy and Abed. From their fake morning show to the 'dreamatorium' to their secret handshake, these two are as wholesome as they come.
Other than spending every waking moment together, there really is nothing unhealthy about this. They have always care about the other, and would do literally anything to make one another happy. They're totally friendship goals.
