In the first week of June, the first part of Eternal Sugar Cookie's update in Cookie Run: Kingdom will come to an end. This will introduce Hollyberry Cookie's awakened form, as well as the next episode of Beast-Yeast, leaving only Silent Salt and Awakened White Lily left to release. Episode 9 was left on a major cliffhanger, so the next update being so close around the corner is very exciting for CRK players.

Such is the norm when a new powerful cookie comes out, Hollyberry Cookie will begin to dominate the arena as soon as players start awakening her. If you want to crush your opponents in the next kingdom arena season, then you need to start building Hollyberry as soon as possible. Even if you're not a huge fan of competitive gamemodes, there's still a lot you can do to make the next update easier. Here's what you can be doing to be appropriately prepared for Hollyberry Cookie's update.

Which Supplies Should You Stock Up On To Build Awakened Hollyberry Cookie?

Use Star Jellies And Skill Powder To Upgrade Her To The Highest Degree

As is probably obvious, you're going to need to start investing resources into Hollyberry Cookie if you haven't already. This means upgrading her skill to the highest level - currently, this is level 90. If you haven't built up her skill already, then it's going to take up to 1,510 pristine defense skill powders to max out. If you see them available in any shops, collecting Hollyberry Cookie's soulstones is a good shout - these, as well as rare, epic and legendary soul essences, can be used to promote and ascend her.

You should upgrade her overall level to at least level 30 by collecting star jellies. Although she should ideally be level 90, at this stage you'll be able to place her in the Hall of Ancient Heroes, so if the rest of your cookies are already a high level, then it's not necessary to use up all your jellies. We don't know how her awakening is going to change her ability, but she's probably going to work best with a Legendary Steelen Hard Beascuit. I'm keeping a non-elemental one to the side in case that ends up being more efficient.

The Beast-Yeast Episode 9 stages where you can earn hard beascuits are 1, 5, 9, 13, 15, 18, 22, 26 and 30.

Players can obtain Legendary Steelen Beascuits from the Juicy Stamina Jelly Challenge event until June 3rd. If you're reading this after the event is over, or you aren't able to complete it for whatever reason, you can earn Steelen and Frozen beascuits from Episode 9 of Beast-Yeast, and they will most likely be available in Episode 10 too - you need to play on Normal or Hard difficulty for legendary ones. You can also buy legendary beascuits from Eternal Sugar Cookie's beast raid shop - these beascuits are tainted, meaning they are the best choice for damage-dealing.

Saving Crystals And Produced Goods Will Help You Complete Challenges

Before the event starts, I would highly recommend collecting as many produced materials as you can, either from making them yourself or obtaining them from the Seaside Market. These updates introduce limited-time challenges which reward the currencies for exclusive featured gachas, and I find they often include tasks such as sending the jellybear train and granting wishes, so you're going to find it a lot easier to get through these if you already have a decent supply of items already. Time-skips and crystals will also help you complete production-based tasks.

Similarly to Pure Vanilla Cookie and Shadow Milk Cookie, Hollyberry and Eternal Sugar will be receiving legendary costumes. If you're interested in a new look for either of these characters, you should avoid spending your Rainbow Cubes for the time being to use them in the next banner.

The main resources which you'll want to use when the event starts are Juicy Stamina Jellies since episode 10 of Beast-Yeast will be coming out in the new update, though you may find yourself using these for the Monster Menace challenge. It takes 12 stamina jellies to attempt a stage in Beast-Yeast, so at a minimum, you need to use 360 to finish a whole episode. The easiest way to collect stamina jellies is by spending time in the Town Square, though they're sometimes available in places such as the Rainbow Shell Gallery.

Another thing which you may find useful to stock up on are Cookie Cutters, specifically special cookie cutters. Hollyberry Cookie's Awakening Update may come with the release of a new epic cookie, similarly to how Black Sapphire Cookie released alongside Awakened Pure Vanilla. If this ends up being the case, it will most likely be Sugarfly Cookie who we'll see become a playable character. Fateful Cookie Cutters are good to have on-hand for the end of the update, since Hollyberry and Eternal Sugar will later be added to the gacha of fate.

A Final Checklist Before The Update Goes Live

The best thing you can do to prepare for the next update of Cookie Run: Kingdom is to make sure you've gotten through all the content from Eternal Sugar Cookie's initial update. This means finishing up episode 9 of Beast-Yeast so you can dive straight into the new story. Some other things to get done are finishing the Kingdom - or Eternal if you bought it, and getting as far as you can in the current boss rush and beast raid events.

Although it may not be obvious, something which I find has helped me a lot is having a maxxed-out friends list. If you haven't friended 50 players already, then this is something I would recommend doing before the next update goes live. Some event challenges require you to send daily gifts to friends, and you'll be able to get this done a lot quicker with the maximum number of friends available.

Other than that, general progression in the game will help you out a lot. Ranking up in the Kingdom Arena, Cookie Alliance, Guild Battle, Beast Raid, and Boss Rush will earn you large crystal rewards at the end of the season, which will help you in just about every area of the game, but are especially useful for buying pulls from the gachas. Hollyberry Cookie will likely break Cookie Run: Kingdom with her awakened form, so you should do the best you can to prepare for its arrival.
