It's well known that the standard teams in Cookie Run: Kingdom are constantly changing, but we recently saw a surprising character make an appearance in the new meta after the most recent update - Vampire Cookie. It has been a long time since he was last a common sight in the Kingdom Arena, but his unexpected synergy with Eternal Sugar Cookie has caused his popularity to skyrocket. It's great to see cookies of lower rarities having a fighting chance in the arena rankings, and Vampire Cookie's accessibility is great news for Free-To-Play fans.

Vampire Cookie is one of the older characters in CRK - he's been in the game since launch and is part of the first cookie legion, so he is present in lots of short stories. While traditional vampires are known to drink blood, Vampire Cookie feeds off grape juice to survive - he is the result of the witches mixing aged grapes into his dough instead of the fresh ones used to create his sister, Alchemist cookie. How should you go about building Vampire Cookie in the new climate of Cookie Run: Kingdom?

Searing Raspberries Are The Most Effective Choice

In order to use Vampire Cookie effectively, you're going to need to create and upgrade his magic candy to change his usual "Vampirism" into his "Fatal Bite" skill. Upgrading his candy to at least level ten will also grant him the ability to revive himself once per battle, similarly to the abilities of Shadow Milk Cookie and Fire Spirit Cookie, but with less health upon revival. I'd highly recommend getting him to this stage before using him in battle.

Cookie Run: Kingdom - Best Toppings And Beascuits For Fire Spirit Cookie

The elemental guardian Fire Spirit Cookie has finally come to Cookie Run: Kingdom, and is a must-have for the arena. What is the best build for him?

When using his "Fatal Bite," Vampire Cookie will turn into a bat and deal a powerful blow to the enemy at the back of the opponent's team. This inflicts the "Vampiric Bite" debuff, which deals periodic damage proportionate to Vampire Cookie's attack stat and causes his skill to always result in a critical hit against the affected target. This means that you should avoid topping and beascuit substats which increase critical hit chance, but critical damage is a very good call.

With his magic candy active, Vampire Cookie's regular attacks will restore his HP.

He can't use any resonant toppings, so the best topping choice for Vampire Cookie is Searing Raspberries, and he should be equipped with an epic raspberry topping tart as well. Thanks to his damage over time and increased attack towards his target, cooldown isn't really a priority since he doesn't need to attack quickly in order to be effective. Increasing the power of his regular attack by raising his attack stat also improves the amount of HP he receives - attack speed substats boost how quickly he can heal himself.

A Legendary Crispy Beascuit With Attack-Based Substats

Cookie Run Kingdom Legendary Crispy Beascuit

As an ambush cookie like Choco Drizzle Cookie, Vampire Cookie will benefit from the use of a legendary crispy beascuit. His attacks aren't currently linked to any specific element, even though he would suit the poison or darkness types, so the best choice is a non-elemental beascuit. Similarly to his toppings, you should try to solely focus on attack damage substats.

You may want to dedicate one beascuit substat to lowering his cooldown if you find that his skill is often getting interrupted, but you shouldn't focus his entire beascuit on it. Some other good substats to look out for are damage resistance and damage resistance by. Vampire Cookie is surprisingly useful in the current climate of the Cookie Run: Kingdom arena, and I would definitely suggest trying him out with Eternal Sugar Cookie if you've managed to get your hands on her.

This article has been updated to remove an erroneous mention of critical hit damage.
