The series was inspired by the 2020 viral YouTube video of her making lasagna, and the cooking reality show premiered on August 4 with six episodes that last roughly 25 minutes each. According to the Netflix description, Cooking With Paris promises to "turn the traditional cooking show upside down." Netflix has produced award-winning reality TV shows that showcase culinary masters who cook up some of the most delicious meals. However, Cooking With Paris is an unconventional series that will surely give Paris's fans a few laughs.

Paris realizes that she is no Julia Child and its that the show is just for fun. "I'm no trained chef, and I'm not trying to be," says the Hilton hotel heiress in the trailer. The 40-year-old's inspiration for Cooking With Paris was preparing to marry fiancé Carter Reum and wanting to become a mom. She needed to expand her cooking repertoire. With the help of her old friend Kim, Paris attempts to make Frosted Flakes French toast so she'll be able to serve it to her future kids. Paris is lost in the kitchen in nearly every episode. The Netflix cooking show star can't identify chives or tomatillos. Paris is also clueless about the appliances in her kitchen. She and Kim had no idea what a blender looked like, and Paris didn't know what tongs were. While the preparation of each meal comes with some struggle, the meals appear to turn out well. Paris and her friends typically enjoy eating the results.

Cooking With Paris is one of the multiple unscripted shows the entrepreneur is producing and starring in. Paris recently snagged a deal with Warner Bros. to develop, produce and star in numerous reality TV shows under her Slivington Manor Entertainment production banner. One of the shows will be centered on Paris's wedding. It will be called Paris In Love and it will stream on the Peacock platform.

While Cooking With Paris shares tropes with The Simple Life, it's still good to see Paris back on reality TV. She is constantly finding ways to reinvent herself and entertaining fans. Paris may not be a trained chef, but she's delivering some fun recipes that anyone can enjoy.
