Warning! This article contains SPOILERS for DC's Creature Commandos.David Corenswet's Superman has already entered the Justice League movie has been announced so far.

Inevitably, that is where many DCU heroes must be headed, so it was interesting to see that no Justice League movie was part of the DCU slate of projects revealed by DC Studios in January 2023. However, DC is making up for the team's absence by including multiple characters in the franchise's first few movies and series. This is the case with David Corenswet's Superman movie, which features a handful of other DCU heroes. While we knew about the heroes who would appear in Superman, DC just surprised everyone by including Clark Kent in another DCU project before his movie.

David Corenswet’s Superman Has Already Debuted In The DCU

The Man Of Steel Came First To Animation

Since watching David Corenswet in The Politician back in 2019, I have wanted to see the actor become DC's next Superman. Due to that, I can't wait to see how the star performs as both Clark Kent and the Man of Steel when James Gunn's Superman movie releases next year. Thankfully, we don't have to wait so long to get our first DCU scene featuring the Man of Steel. I was shocked to see that David Corenswet's Superman debut came in a Creature Commandos trailer, and the context of the moment is intriguing.

After the DCU's first project debuted, a trailer for the remaining episodes in trailer for Creature Commandos' episode 4 has since been released, showing a new part of the sequence. In it, Circe shows Amanda Waller the vision, with Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Hawkgirl, Booster Gold, and seemingly Damian Wayne's Robin also dead.

I’m Convinced That Creature Commandos Is Teasing The DCU Justice League's First Movie

Circe's Vision Of A Bleak Future Is Very Interesting

While there might not be an announced Justice League movie so far, there is no way that the team is not coming in the DCU's future. I understand why Gunn might be giving the team a break, as the DCEU's Justice League movie — and the franchise overall — was not the best. Still, I believe that Circe's vision could be of a future that happens if the Justice League is not successful in stopping a certain threat. The move would be similar to Zack Snyder's Knightmare plans for the DCEU in a way.

David Corenswet's Superman has debuted before his DCU movie, and the sequence teases a major death twist that could lead to a major DC hero appearing.

Initially, we only had three characters confirmed for the sequence. Now that the number has grown to include characters like Wonder Woman and Supergirl, I'm convinced that even more heroes will be part of the finished version of Circe's vision, with at least Batman bound to also make an appearance. Hawkgirl has been part of different versions of the JLA in the comics, as have most of the characters now revealed to appear in the dream sequence. With Wonder Woman and Superman present, it seems like the DCU's first project is teasing the story of the Justice League's debut.

I Believe The Justice League Movie Will End The DCU’s Chapter One

There Are More DCU Projects To Be Announced

I was excited to finally get an update on the Justice League's DCU status recently. James Gunn has confirmed that the team does not yet exist. That makes sense. Gunn is crafting a new universe that feels lived-in, with heroes operating in it for some time, but letting fans get the first look at their major crossovers, such as the Justice League coming together for the first time. After the DCU's Chapter One projects set up a Justice League — characters like Amanda Waller, Peacemaker, Superman, Rick Flag Sr., and more connect to multiple projects — a team movie could end it.

When he announced the first movies and series in the DCU, Gunn revealed that they made up less than half of the total projects in the DCU's Chapter One.

It would be poetic if the final movie of the DCU's Chapter One paid off the vision of the franchise's first release. Something Gunn said when announcing the first projects in the new DC Universe also adds up to the reasons I believe the Justice League will be coming during the franchise's first chapter. When he announced the first movies and series in the DCU, Gunn revealed that they made up less than half of the total projects in the DCU's Chapter One. So, based on all the teases we now have, I think the Justice League ends that chapter.
