After over two years, Dungeons and Dragons series wondering when the cast will be returning for another round. Following an announcement by Critical Role, it appears the next campaign in Exandria will differ from the styles of the first two adventures.

The new campaign is titled Exandria Unlimited, and will only last for eight weeks. Fans won't have to wait long for the adventures in Exandria to continue, as the next mini-campaign is set to begin on June 24th. The streaming time for the series has not changed and will still occur on Thursday evenings at 7 pm Pacific. Fans of the series can tune in on either Twitch or YouTube, and the VODs of the livestream will be available the following Monday.

Exandria Unlimited will consist of a cast of new and old roleplayers, with some returning from the previous Critical Role campaigns. Perhaps the biggest change in the cast is the addition of Aabria Iyengar as the Dungeon Master of Exandria Unlimited. This will be the first time that a roleplayer other than Matt Mercer has guided a party through Exandria. Aabria Iyengar has had significant roleplaying experience, having participated in other Dungeons and Dragons shows like Saving Throw and Dimension 20. Iyengar will be ed by the Exandra Unlimited player cast, consisting of Aimee Carerro, Robbie Daymond, Ashley Johnson, Matthew Mercer, and Liam O'Brien. Some might recognize Aimee Carrero as the voice of Adora and She-Ra in She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. Robbie Daymond has previously shown his voice acting talents in the role of Marvel's own web-slinger, Spider-Man. Ashley Johnson, Matthew Mercer, and Liam O'Brien are the only Critical Role regulars confirmed to be returning in Exandria Unlimited at this time.

Critical Role's Matt Mercer Will Not Be DMing

Critical Role Exandria Unlimited Mini-Campaign Dungeons Dragons

One of the biggest changes to Exandria Unlimited is Matthew Mercer's role as a player rather than a DM. Matthew Mercer has become one of the most well-known Dungeon Masters thanks to the success of Critical Role, and as such has not had many experiences as a player on stream. Despite occasional player appearances on various themed one-shots and mini-campaigns (such as Deadwood), this will be Matthew Mercer's first time as a player in Exandria, which is sure to be an experience to .

Exandria Unlimited will be occurring as the most modern iteration of Exandria, taking place half a century after the conclusion of Critical Role's Vox Machina campaign and a decade after the adventures of the Mighty Nein. In the grand scheme of events in the world, there is potential for cameos from other characters from past campaigns. Being in the same world as Critical Role's previous campaigns, there is also the potential for Exandria Unlimited to continue storylines that were left unfinished from prior adventures. Fan-favorite characters such as Pumat Sol or Kiri could return with all their endearing features, or fans could be in for a completely new adventure.

While this campaign will not last as long as Critical Role's Vox Machina or Mighty Nein campaigns, it is sure to be an enjoyable adventure for fans of the series. It's exciting to see further exploration of the world of Exandria by the first DM that isn't Matt Mercer, as a new cast and the advancement of the world's timeline introduces potential cameos or continuation of forgotten storylines. Exandria Unlimited will begin streaming in approximately two weeks on Critical Role's Twitch and YouTube channels, going live at 7 pm Pacific time.
