While players have access to a wide array of different weapon types from shotguns to sniper rifles, one of the most important guns to have on the player's person at any given time is a pistol. When all other ammo runs out, players will only have their trusty sidearm to fall back on. This is why it is very important to have access to a great one, so players will most likely want to choose one of the unique pistols in the game. This guide shows players the best unique pistols in the game and how to find them.

Cyberpunk 2077: Best Unique Pistols

Cyberpunk 2077 Gun Stand Off

When just looking at standard pistols without any frills or special abilities, it probably doesn't seem like a big deal to spend time worrying about which one to use. All of the other weapons in the game do whatever the pistol can but better. One of the biggest reasons for players to concern themselves with the pistol though is that the only weapon that they can carry more ammo for is an assault rifle. The difference though is that assault rifle ammo runs out very fast, whereas players can hold onto pistol ammo for quite awhile. Unique pistols also have a wealth of different abilities that make them very viable options in combat, particularly in close quarters and in confined spaces. Here are the best unique pistols:

  • La Cingona Dorada - This beautiful gold weapon has a wealth of different special abilities that make it one of the better pistols to use for crowd control and stacking numerous status effects upon enemies. First and foremost players are given the ability to apply the burning effect to those they attack as well as apply the stun effect as well. If players fire at several enemies at a time near them then it is pretty easy to have a group of stunned and burning enemies. Another fun aspect of this weapon though is the fact that it has reduced reload time and it has an additional mod slot that allows players to customize it as they see fit. During the course of the Heroes side job, players will be able to pick this weapon up from the table.
  • Lizzie's Gun - This is a difficult weapon to grow used to because if players aren't paying attention to the weapon's description and don't use it effectively they won't get the best use out of it. Those who understand how the mechanics work though will have access to one of the more powerful weapons in the game. Lizzie's Gun is a Tech weapon so players can hold down the fire button to charge it up before firing it to increase its damage. With Lizzie's Gun though a normal shot fires four bullets simultaneously, whereas charging it not only increases damage but also adds a fifth bullet to the shot. This makes for an incredibly deadly weapon that operates almost like a more accurate shotgun than a pistol. Players will be able to acquire it by searching the basement of Lizzie's after "The Space Between" mission.
  • Kongou - This weapon is incredibly powerful mostly just because it allows players to use all of their special abilities without having to pick up the required cybernetic upgrades first. The Kongou is a Power weapon, but usually, to make a Power weapon work correctly the player needs the Power weapon Cybernetic. The Kongou lets players use it without that, which means that players who aren't specced to use Power weapons can still have a lot of fun with it. It also has significantly reduced recoil and increased rate of fire that effectively allows the player to use this as a small submachine gun. The only real downside is that it has reduced capacity, but it's a small price to pay for the positive aspects. Players will be able to find this during "The Heist" by picking it up off of Yorinobu's nightstand.
  • Apparition - This weapon dishes out so much damage against its enemies that it sometimes feels a little bit unfair to be wielding it all honestly. This is a Tech weapon, so once again players are able to charge it up and deal double damage to their enemies. The fun part though is that the Apparition has an ability that doubles charged damage, so it effectively deals quadruple damage with charged shots. Just as interesting though is that if the player's health drops into critical levels the fire rate, reload speed, and damage are all increased dramatically. Damage, in particular, is increased so much that when combined with the charge feature it can dish out almost 6x the standard damage value. Players can acquire Apparition by taking it off of Frank's body during the "War Pigs" side job.
  • Malorian Arms 3516 - This pistol makes the cut for two reasons: It is very powerful and it just so happens to belong to Johnny Silverhand. This gun has more power than just about any other pistol in the game and if players manage to line up headshots they will be able to one-shot nearly anything they encounter. It also deals thermal damage and can ricochet off surfaces, so it can frankly dish out a ridiculous amount of damage against anyone that takes a hit from it. More than this though it also has four empty mod slots, so players are able to customize the Malorian Arms 3516 however they see fit. It also has very cool unique reloading animations, which are a lot of fun to watch. Players can acquire Johnny's signature weapon by taking it from Grayson in the "Chippin' In" side job.
  • Skippy - Without a doubt the very best pistol in the game is Skippy. The strange talking pistol is pretty hilarious and has some fun things to say throughout the game, but keeping him around is not because of his personality. No there are several reasons that make Skippy an extremely deadly weapon. For one Skippy is a Smart Pistol, so shots will automatically find a target even if the player isn't pointed at them. By properly picking a program they can also determine whether Skippy targets limbs or heads with its shots. Skippy will also deal electrical damage and can inflict the shock status effect on enemies, which is perfect for crowd control methods. While all of this adds up to an already impressive weapon, Skippy also scales to the player's level. This means that the stats will always be increasing and becoming more deadly. Those who want Skippy will need to complete a side job in Vista Del Rey.
