10 Kill Enemies Without Being Seen By Bouncing Bullets Off The Wall

Players Will Need Guns With The Ricochet Ability For This Build

There are a lot of ways to surprise enemies in Cyberpunk 2077 or take them out without being seen. There are plenty of stealth options, quickhacks that will blind enemies, or stunners like flashbang grenades. However, one of the most fun and unique ways to get the drop on enemies is by using guns with the ricochet ability.

Certain guns in Cyberpunk 2077 allow players to bounce bullets off multiple walls and hit an enemy. Players will see a trajectory marker showing them the path of their bullets, allowing them to pull off elaborate shots. Combining this with stealth and mobility perks will allow players to hit enemies without being seen and then have a headstart on finding a new hiding place.

Players looking to do a stealthy ricochet build will probably want the Long Shot perk since it will allow them to do full damage with their weapons even at a further range. This means they can ricochet from a safe hiding spot but not lose out on doing full damage. Cyberware like Optical Camo and perks like Vanishing Act or Shinobi Sprint will help players remain unseen while enemies search for the source of the player’s mysterious bouncing bullets.

9 Pistols Allow Players To Be An Old-School Gunslinger

Players Will Need A High Cool Level For This Build

One fun way to approach enemies in Cyberpunk 2077 is to focus specifically on their weak points. With human enemies, this is typically the head. Perks like Deadeye and Nerves of Tungsten-Steel will increase the amount of damage players do to weak spots, while ones like California Reaper and High Noon will buff the player each time they take out an enemy by shooting them in their weak spot. While these perks work for various guns, some players ignore these other types and stick with pistols and high-damage revolvers.

Running around Night City with a revolver feels a little anachronistic. It’s an old-school method of fighting in a very futuristic setting. While the old-timey cowboy aesthetic of this build might seem silly for a place like Night City, this build can be very effective in dealing serious damage. However, if players want to stay true to this gunslinger build, they will ignore the temptation to use rifles or snipers and stick with an old-fashioned six-shooter.

8 Smart Weapons Can Act Like Aim Bots

Players Will Want High Reflexes For This Build

Cyberpunk 2077’s smart weapons take away some of the need for players to actually aim at enemies. Similar to aim bot hacks from FPS games, players just need to point their gun in the general direction of an enemy and pull the trigger. This means players can create a very chaotic build that allows them to sprint around the battlefield, taking out enemies without having to slow down and aim.

Apart from a decent arsenal of smart weapons and the necessary cyberware to use them, players looking to create this build will want some mobility perks. Slippery will make it difficult for enemies to hit players while they’re moving, which is a huge for a build that will have players running around a combat zone. Perks like Muscle Memory and Multitasker will allow players to reload and shoot while also quickly moving around the map, so players can just sprint around spraying bullets, knowing they’re going to hit, and focus more on their movement.

7 Weapon Mods Allow Players To Avoid Killing Anyone

Players Will Want The Pax Mod For Their Firearms

In any open-world game with a large variety of choices, there will inevitably be players who want to know if they can beat it without killing anyone. Cyberpunk 2077 has given players a variety of tools to avoid killing enemies. Fists and blunt weapons default to doing non-lethal damage in the game, meaning players would have to take an extra step to kill an enemy once knocked out. Players also have the option of performing non-lethal takedowns in stealth.

While these methods may work well for parts of Cyberpunk 2077, other enemies will require players to try a bit harder to defeat them without ending their lives. This is where the gun mod Pax comes in. This will allow players to still use firearms without killing enemies. However, players invested in doing a pacifist run will need to be careful about the types of guns they slap Pax on.

While the game will say that enemies shot with a Pax-modded gun aren’t dead, the player’s immersion can be broken if that enemy has burst into flames or exploded into tiny chunks. If players truly want to play a pacifist run where they can convince themselves all of their enemies will recover at some point, they should avoid pairing Pax with things like incendiary weapons. Pacifist players will also need to simply run from enemies like mechs, which will explode when defeated, even if they are using non-lethal ammo.

6 Berserk And Shotguns Make An Intimidating Pair

Players Will Need The Berserk OS For This Build

Shotguns can deal a lot of damage in Cyberpunk 2077 but have the typical disadvantage of needing to be close to enemies. This can be a bit tricky when enemies have powerful ranged weapons that will deal a lot of damage to players before they get close. However, this can be mitigated with an Operating System called Berserk.

Berserk allows players to temporarily take reduced damage while also allowing them to move faster, waste less stamina, and attack more quickly. Combining this with a powerful shotgun will allow players to sprint right up to enemies and deliver a devastating close-range attack. Players will also want to take perks like Adrenaline Rush, which will give them more health and help them regenerate health more quickly. This makes the build very tanky, which is helpful when sprinting up next to enemies. Unstoppable Force and Juggernaut are good bonus perks to supplement Adrenaline Rush since they movement.

5 Only Using Knives Is A Fun Challenge

Players Will Want To Focus On Cool And Reflexes For This Build

One way that Cyberpunk 2077 players enjoy challenging themselves is by restricting the types of weapons they use. Perhaps one of the most challenging but rewarding ways to do this is to only use knives. Knives are powerful when used correctly, and throwing them allows players to make up for their short range. Originally, trying to play with throwing knives was a bit challenging, but thanks to the 2.0 update, not only can players retrieve their knives more easily, but there is an entire skill tree dedicated to thrown weapons.

The Killer Instinct perk will allow players a major damage buff when stealthily throwing knives at opponents, while perks like Pay It Forward and Finisher: Act of Mercy give players powerful options for knives during combat. Adding mobility perks like Dash and Slippery will help make up for the player’s need to close the distance between themselves and their enemies when it comes time to use their knives as melee weapons instead of throwing them.

4 Hacks And Blades Allow Players To Become A Cyberpunk Jedi

Players Will Need To Focus, Intelligence, & Reflexes For This Build

RPG players love to find ways to emulate the fighting style of their favorite fictional characters in games like Dungeons & Dragons, or in this case, Cyberpunk 2077. Fans of Star Wars will be pleased to know that Cyberpunk offers enough customization options to make their character a decent approximation of a Jedi. However, this build likely isn’t for beginners, as it requires utilizing a mix of difficult-to-master combat skills and quickhacks.

To start off, players will want to use the Blade skills tree under Reflexes to let their swords emulate lightsabers. Bullet Deflect is the most obvious perk that will make players feel more like a Jedi, and Going The Distance is a good way to emulate a Jedi’s ability to quickly close the distance between themselves and an enemy with a powerful lunge. Players will likely also want Opportunist, as it synergizes well with the other aspects of this Jedi build.

“Lightsaber” prowess only brings players halfway toward feeling like a true Jedi. Players will also want to utilize quickhacks to emulate a Jedi’s force powers. While there isn’t a good one-to-one option for the telekinetic abilities of the force, crowd-control quickhacks like Reboot Optics and Weapon Glitch can simulate a Jedi’s ability to use the force to slow down or distract their enemies. Memory Wipe is also a good substitute for a Jedi Mind Trick. Combining these hacks with blade skills can be difficult but very rewarding once the player gets the hang of it.

3 Take The "Cyber" Out Of Cyberpunk And Play As Only Human

Players Will Have To Avoid Using Cyberware And Hacks For This Build

This way of playing Cyberpunk 2077 was inspired by a challenge that YouTuber LarsBurrito attempted where the point was to be as close to a modern-day human as possible. There are plenty of ways players can still take their character builds when attempting this, so instead of requirements, this challenge is all about restrictions. In general, players are restricted from using any futuristic tech that isn’t required by the game.

This means that players aren’t allowed to use cyberware, smart weapons, or even their HUD, which is technically an in-universe bit of cyberware. While the game will force players to at least get the new eyes Vik gives them early on, and they can’t stop V from putting the Relic in their head, these are the only bits of tech players are allowed to use. This is a fun challenge, as it will give players the feeling of being an underdog in a world where everyone else has what are essentially superpowers.

2 Play As A Brawler Who Can Slow Down Time

This Buils Is Inspired By David Martinez From Cyberpunk: Edgerunners

The Cyberpunk: Edgerunners introduced Cyberpunk fans to a new character, David Martinez. In the show, David makes use of a Sandevistan implant that allows him to slow down time and travel at incredibly fast speeds. Players looking to emulate this power in Cyberpunk 2077 can also get a Sandevistan operating system, which will allow them to do what David does in the show.

Canonically, David uses a Militech “Apogee” version of the Sandevistan OS, which is the top-tier model in the game. If players want to rely on fighting with their fists, as David does for part of the show, they will also want the Gorilla Arms cyberware to increase their physical damage. Players will also want perks that benefit their fists - which count as blunt weapons - like Wrecking Ball or Finisher: Savage Sling. This means players will want a high Body score for this build on top of their cyberware.

1 Kill Enemies Through Walls With Tech Weapons

Players Will Need A Tech Gun And The Ping Quickhack

Nothing quite sells the feeling of being a pro hacker in Cyberpunk 2077, like pulling off a classic video game hack in the world of the game. By using the Ping quickhack, players can easily keep track of enemies, even through walls. This is similar to wall hacks that players use to cheat in competitive first-person shooters. Once players know where an enemy is behind a wall, they can charge up a shot with a tech weapon, allowing them to shoot through the wall and hit their enemy.

To help improve this build, players will want a good Technical Ability score so they can put points into the tech weapon skill tree. In Charge can be helpful for allowing players to line up a shot without their tech weapon auto-firing when charged, and Shock Value is good for doing extra damage. The more damage players can do through the wall, the easier they can cheese fights without having to actually face an enemy.

While builds like this aren’t necessarily the best in the game, it is still a lot of fun to just play around with all the interesting possibilities Cyberpunk 2077 has to offer. This gives the game a lot of replay value, as there are so many different builds to try. Cyberpunk 2077 players should keep finding and sharing their most chaotic builds, so everyone can give them a try and see what is possible in Night City.
