CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 features an amalgam of weapons. From precision rifles and shotguns to katanas and baseball bats, the open-world RPG gives players a variety of ways to deal with enemies. Even hacking is an option for taking down opponents. However, along with these various battle tools comes iconic weapons that add style to devastation. One such weapon is the Gold-Plated Baseball Bat.
As an iconic melee weapon in Cyberpunk 2077, the Gold-Plated Baseball Bat has a high chance to apply Bleeding to targets, dealing additional damage over time. However, the blunt object has a lower-than-normal chance to stun targets. The weapon also has a mod slot available to add more perks to it, increasing its utility in melee combat.
How to Get the Gold-Plated Baseball Bat in Cyberpunk 2077
Gold-Plated Baseball Bat can be acquired by completing a series of missions. The first mission players need to complete is a main quest called Tapeworm. This mission only consists of having a few conversations with Johnny Silverhand; the conversations are triggered throughout the game after completing certain main objectives. After the fourth and final Tapeworm conversation, players can accomplish the side mission called Chippin’ In, prompting them to help Johnny Silverhand.
Once Chippin’ In is complete, gamers will be presented with another side quest: Blistering Love. Completing this mission unlocks the next one in the series named Holdin’ On, which leads to another gig called Second Conflict. It is during the Second Conflict mission that players can acquire the Gold-Plated Baseball Bat. During the quest, players will interact with two more characters: Denny and Harry. One of these characters will throw a bat into the pool, which is the Gold-Plated Baseball Bat. Players should grab the bat from the pool.
While there are better choices for melee weapons in Cyberpunk 2077, the Gold-Plated Baseball Bat is still a contender for one of the best. Its massive amounts of damage, especially for players who contribute a lot of perks in the Brawler skill tree within the Body attribute, and Bleed effect makes the bat a monster. Beyond its beefy damage output, the weapon is a stylish choice for the characters with the Street Kid Lifepath, as the screws welded into the top are reminiscent of The Walking Dead’s barbed wire-covered Lucille.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions scheduled for 2021.
