Warning! This article contains SPOILERS for Daredevil: Born Again season 1, episode 3
Wilson Bethel’s Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter a.k.a. Bullseye doesn't appear in Bullseye's cold-blooded murder of Foggy Nelson kicked off the events of Daredevil: Born Again. Since then, Matt Murdock has abandoned his Daredevil persona and focused on fighting injustice in the court of law. However, it won’t be easy for Matt to defend vigilantes from corrupt authorities for long, as his victories quickly devolve into tragedies.
Matt Murdock earns an acquittal for his client in it seems as though Frank Castle a.k.a. The Punisher killed the White Tiger. Things must be more complex than they seem, however, as there are multiple villains in Daredevil: Born Again — all of whom may have their own reasons to murder White Tiger and send a message to all other New York vigilantes and superheroes. Meanwhile, Bullseye is locked in prison serving a long sentence.
Bullseye Was One Of The Best Parts Of Daredevil: Born Again Episode 1
Wilson Bethel's Bullseye Made A Splash In Daredevil: Born Again Episode 1
Daredevil: Born Again episode 3 continues to raise the bar with an intense legal battle, shocking revelations, and a massive cliffhanger twist that turns everything upside down for Matt Murdock. Foggy Nelson's death inspires Matt Murdock to carry on as he exchanges the cowl for the court, and he finally begins to open his emotions about Foggy to Heather. Daredevil: Born Again episode 3 doesn't need Bullseye to maintain the excitement. However, Ben Poindexter needs to return sooner rather than later, as his first encounter with Daredevil is too short for such a fervid feud.

Marvel Confirms Iron Man's MCU-Changing Decision Made Kingpin More Dangerous
Kingpin has always been a dangerous villain, but Daredevil: Born Again just increased his power by linking to one of Iron Man’s biggest MCU moments.
Not only does Bullseye change the course of Matt Murdock's MCU story in a matter of minutes, but he also leaves a trail of chaos behind him while he does it. Bullseye murders many innocent officers and civilians for sport while fighting Daredevil. He doesn't have to do it, but Bullseye uses his perfect aim to land lethal blows on everyone around him during their bar brawl. On top of that, Bullseye forces Matt Murdock to break the boundary of deadly force, and yet, he survives what seems like a lethal fall from a rooftop. As if that weren't enough, Bullseye smirks as he's sentenced to prison.
Daredevil: Born Again Needs To Give Us A Rematch With Bullseye
Daredevil And Bullseye's First MCU Fight Isn't Enough
Matt Murdock and Karen Page celebrate when Benjamin Poindexter is convicted for the murder of Foggy Nelson, but while Matt Murdock repeatedly underlines that legal justice is what matters the most to him, his brutal outburst against two corrupt police officers in Daredevil: Born Again episode 2 suggests that a deep rage is still brewing inside of him. Clearly, Matt Murdock didn't get any definitive closure from Bullseye's conviction, and the return of his Daredevil persona is inevitable. After facing Muse and witnessing Wilson Fisk enforce his next political movies, Matt likely won't have another option but to take matters into his own hands once again.
A prison sentence may be but a temporary obstacle for Benjamin Poindexter
After beating up the two corrupt police officers in Daredevil: Born Again episode 2, Matt Murdock may not hold back against multiple other enemies. In fact, the Daredevil: Born Again trailers feature a few shots of Matt delivering some gnarly blows to a few opponents in his civilian outfit. Muse and Wilson Fisk could easily receive an unprecedented beating from Matt when he dons the cowl again, and Daredevil might drop all self-imposed boundaries whenever he crosses paths with Bullseye. After all, a prison sentence may be but a temporary obstacle for Benjamin Poindexter.
How Daredevil: Born Again Could Bring Back Bullseye
Bullseye Has Already Proved He's Unstoppable
Bullseye's premature release may not be a matter of "if", but of "when" and "how". Benjamin Poindexter has survived the most unlikely scenarios, having healed from a broken back and two huge falls from great heights. It would be in character for Bullseye to escape prison just to torment Matt Murdock, though he may need some external help to achieve it. Given that Ben Poindexter has already worked with Wilson Fisk, the New York Mayor could offer Poindexter some sort of pardon if the assassin works as Fisk's hired gun again, leaving their differences aside.

The MCU Just Set Up A Whole New Way For Green Goblin's Villain Successor To Debut According To Marvel Movie Theory
Daredevil: Born Again may have taken another step toward the debut of the MCU's Green Goblin successor, first teased in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Bullseye is no stranger to prisons in the source material. Part of Bullseye's cryptic backstory is his escape from prison, followed by the destruction of said prison and the murder of his father. Later on, Bullseye brushes off a prison sentence and proceeds to kill Elektra after she replaces him as Kingpin's assassin. Elektra's death and both Ben Urich and Foggy Nelson's assassinations — all of which play into Bullseye's most prominent murder in the comics — have already happened in the comics. Still, Bullseye could either escape prison or work under Wilson Fisk's orders to keep making Matt Murdock's life a living hell in Daredevil: Born Again.
