  • Daredevil's legal skills and ability to study opponents make him just as capable as Batman in strategizing and planning for the worst.

One of the most definitive traits about Daredevil.

In the 2012-13 miniseries Daredevil: End of Days by Brian Michael Bendis and David Mack, readers see the death of Daredevil. Right before being killed, Daredevil says the word, "Mapone," which seemingly drives his killer, Bullseye, utterly insane. Bullseye later takes his own life, and Punisher explains how this might be possible.

Punisher explains how Daredevil is like Batman

Punisher puts forth the idea that Matt knew exactly what he had to say to drive Bullseye mad. Daredevil had studied Bullseye and had everything he needed to ruin Bullseye's life, and Punisher makes an extremely compelling argument about how this could be possible.

daredevil and batman

Batman is infamous for his contingency plans. No matter how absurd a situation he finds himself in, Batman always has a plan to get out of it. This has been built into Batman over the years due to his massive paranoia. For all of Batman's skills, he is just a man living in a world of gods. If Superman or Wonder Woman ever suddenly went evil, either by choice or by mind control of some manner, there needs to be ways to bring them down. It's simply irresponsible not to have contingencies in this case. Likewise, it seems Matt Murdock reached a similar conclusion.

Matt wouldn't have become the high-powered lawyer he is today if he wasn't good at his job, and as Punisher explains, a lawyer never signs onto a case they don't think they can win.

Daredevil is one of the greatest legal minds in the Marvel Universe. Matt Murdock is so skilled as a lawyer that he proved himself to be Daredevil in court. Matt wouldn't have become the high-powered lawyer he is today if he wasn't good at his job, and as Punisher explains, a lawyer never signs onto a case they don't think they can win. The second Matt became aware of Bullseye's real identity, he would've devoted himself to learning everything about Bullseye he could, so that he could one day destroy him if necessary. There's no doubt Daredevil has done the same for villains like Kingpin.

Their Obsessive Personalities Allow Them To Plan Down To The Smallest Details

Daredevil and Batman have a lot of things in common regarding their personalities. They're both horribly obsessive and absolutely dedicated to keeping their city safe. Batman is paranoid and fears the power of people he can't control if they should ever turn on Earth. Daredevil deals with some of the worst criminals imaginable, from the serial killer Bullseye to the methodical psychopathy of Kingpin. As the Punisher points out, Matt simply needs contingency plans to take down these villains if necessary, which is just one more thing that Daredevil has in common with Batman.
