In the 2012-13 miniseries Daredevil: End of Days by Brian Michael Bendis and David Mack, readers see the death of Daredevil. Right before being killed, Daredevil says the word, "Mapone," which seemingly drives his killer, Bullseye, utterly insane. Bullseye later takes his own life, and Punisher explains how this might be possible.

Punisher puts forth the idea that Matt knew exactly what he had to say to drive Bullseye mad. Daredevil had studied Bullseye and had everything he needed to ruin Bullseye's life, and Punisher makes an extremely compelling argument about how this could be possible.

Batman is infamous for his contingency plans. No matter how absurd a situation he finds himself in, Batman always has a plan to get out of it. This has been built into Batman over the years due to his massive paranoia. For all of Batman's skills, he is just a man living in a world of gods. If Superman or Wonder Woman ever suddenly went evil, either by choice or by mind control of some manner, there needs to be ways to bring them down. It's simply irresponsible not to have contingencies in this case. Likewise, it seems Matt Murdock reached a similar conclusion.

Daredevil and Batman have a lot of things in common regarding their personalities. They're both horribly obsessive and absolutely dedicated to keeping their city safe. Batman is paranoid and fears the power of people he can't control if they should ever turn on Earth. Daredevil deals with some of the worst criminals imaginable, from the serial killer Bullseye to the methodical psychopathy of Kingpin. As the Punisher points out, Matt simply needs contingency plans to take down these villains if necessary, which is just one more thing that Daredevil has in common with Batman.
